The Machine...

Post#1 » by Chubby Chaser » Wed Jun 11, 2008 8:02 am

Sasha has been one of the main factors for our success these playoffs and the latter half of the season. Believe it or not, Ariza getting injured might of been a blessing in disguise. Because during that time Ariza was getting Sasha's minutes and Sasha was getting pushed farther and farther back on the bench. But when Ariza went down, Sasha transformed into the Machine and became one of our most mentally toughest player. (I know, it's hard to digest that last statement. But it's true) During game 3 today, he shot a three and got chewed out by Kobe. Then the very next position had an open shot and took it again and drilled it. I feel one of the main reasons we haven't been able to win one of the last two games in boston was because we didn't play sasha that much and made luke our sixth man coming off the bench to guard Paul Pierce. When Sasha comes in he plays tough and shoots with the green light. And it seems like he hits every other three he takes. I don't understand why Phil is still going with Vlad or Luke. It should be apparent today that Sasha should get major minutes this series. He's the perfect player to guard Ray Allen, and for a good part of the game. He and Allen were trading baskets and were going after each other three for three. I don't know why we went away from him the beginning of this series, but we can't anymore. We're going to need Sasha to stand a chance at beating boston. So, just to paraphrase. PHIL, Please PLAY SASHA MORE!!!

Side note: Thank GOD we won tonight. That was too close for comfort.

I'm sure Sasha would say, "Thanks, and you're welcome."

Now add some pictures to your thread to keep ADD kids like me interested.

Sasha has proven he is a gamer. Something very few guys on the Lakers can say.

Kobe and Sasha are the gamers and Fish is a fading gamer

The rest are good players. Pau is learning it.

Don't let the Spurs still him away. They and other playoff teams will be throwing $ his way.

As for Odom he is not a gamer, He is a regular season player who sometimes outplays his match ups.

Someone should show him a tape for everytime he runs over a player for a charging foul so he can learn. Seems he has trouble learning from his mistakes

Sasha might be our backup wing if Odom leaves and we don't get much for him.
