Nope, there is a few criteriums. The deciding one will be some coeficient counted from poinst achieved from previous qualifications (i don't bother to find what exactly it is, I guess it has to be on official pages). Czech republic has better coeficient. So the 2-1 result was was good for Turkey only for eliminating Suisse and not bothering about Suisse-Portugal game. Turkey would have to win to advance.
(in case of tied coefients, there is a fair play competition and then lottery)

wrong.
- number of points earned in matches between the teams in question;
- goal difference in matches between the teams in question (in cases where there are more than two teams equal on points);
- goals scored in matches between the teams in question (in cases where there are more than two teams equal on points);
- goal difference in all group matches;
- goals scored in all group matches;
- in cases where exactly two teams are equal in all previously listed critera and play one another to a draw in their final group match, kicks from the penalty mark will be conducted in lieu of the remaining criteria;
- the number of points obtained by the teams in question divided by the number of matches played in the qualifying competitions for the 2006 FIFA World Cup and 2008 UEFA European Championship;
- fair play conduct of the teams in the group stage;
- drawing of lots.

MAN O MAN I am so happy to have made in back from public viewing in one piece. When the Turks scored the 2-1, thousands of mostly Turkish fans turned everything into a gigantic mosh pit. I was clotheslined by delirious Turkish fans, was given the mother of all bear hugs and felt as if I had been devoured by some large beast. Everywhere now auto corsos full of flagwaving Turks. But hell, these guys know how to party
On the other hand, the Kebap store round the corner gave out free Lahmacun, that was quite nice after watching the whole match.

Heh, the Turkey-Checkmates' game is gonna be intense as hell, hopefully nobody tries playing for the draw.
Won't be suprised if the Czechs stay put down low and go after the penalty shoot-out since they have Petr Cech, even if he's more known for his world class saves while the ball is in movement then for deadball shot saves
