Player reactions to games being rigged

can this be the players reaction thread. The only one I have so far is scott pollard.

"My first thought [upon hearing Donaghy's allegation] was: I knew it," Pollard said Tuesday night. "I'm not going to say there was a conspiracy. I just think something wasn't right. It was unfair. We didn't have a chance to win that game."

I would love to hear more superstars talk about the alleged rigged games. I want to hear esp. from Ray Allen since he was in a bucks/philly game that was most likely rigged. Ray speaks the truth and I would love to hear what he has to say. If more superstars speak their mind i wonder if the NBA will start fining them not to talk. David Stern needs to be fired and go to jail.

Here is what RayRay said AT THE TIME.

"I think there's no question about that. The league, as a marketing machine, the bottom line is about making money," Allen said. "It behooves everybody for the league to make more money, and the league knows that Philadelphia is going to make more money with L.A. than we would with L.A."

And Iverson AT THE TIME, regarding the same series.

Allen said members of his family had told him that they were sitting across from NBA commissioner David Stern on Sunday and noticed him stand up to watch a replay after it appeared Allen got away with committing a foul against Iverson that wasn't called.

"He jumped up real mad like he was cheering for Philly," Allen said.

Bucks coach George Karl said conspiracy theories were "summer talk," although he claimed three other NBA coaches had called him after Game 5 to raise that very issue.

"Sam Cassell said that Kevin Garnett and Rod Strickland had called him, so it's out there," Karl said.

Scott Pollard also said it couldn't have been rigged and he doesn't believe it in the same interview.

Yea, weird that this part was omitted from the poster above...

"For a guy that wasn't at that game, didn't ref that game, to come out and say that, and in the situation he's in, I guess you could kind of say you could equate that to Charles Manson saying something about the Boston Strangler," Pollard said. "He's in the business, but he doesn't really have a lot of credibility. He wasn't there."

nobody involved with the NBA is going to say anything..Scot Pollard still plays in the NBA, doesn't he? why would he risk a fine from the NBA, which he would obviously get..

we need an interview from Divac..

a fine would be the least of their worries, they'd risk blacklisting from the league, and anything associated with it, during and after their playing careers.

Let's wait for another ex-ref, preferably one who didn't leave on such bad terms (and who isn't such a scumbag weasel cockmeat sandwich eater), "confirms" Donagay's claim that the NBA rigged games before we take his words at 100% face value.

Anyone related to the NBA needs to have some pretty STRONG evidence before coming out and confirm those allegations.
I suspect no strong evidence exists, no way anyone left something written that could be used, assuming something fishy really happened.

Even having some evidence, who's going to ruin a business worth billions, cutting himslef from any job opportunity in basketball (don't expect any kind of gratitude, after that)?

Go to jail for what? The NBA is a for profit business. It sucks it is/was (possibly) rigged, but it's business at the end of the day. A lot of businesses engage in shady, but legal, actions to max profits. That's all he's guilty of, if anything.
