On trades for draft picks,

I seriously doubt they would do any such thing. The team culture they're promoting for one more year before the Davis contract expires is too valuable. Even if they can't approach the 48 wins they amassed largely before the serious playoff competition hit in March/April, folks will buy tickets to see the Nellie show. He's good for business, always has been.

So as much as I'd love some trades of old mediocre guys for young team building blocks, it just won't happen. Next season the slate is clear of, what, $24-25 million in Baron and Foyle? And they'll have some large expiring contracts to wave about.

One more year of stay the course. Patience.

Rowell will call mommy...everyone should lay off. Hes always right regardless.

i agree Flop...his "victim" role is annoying and immature. im glad he ignored me.
Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.
Big Smooth is focused and ready to handle the centers of the league.
Curry and Ellis will be a top 5 back court this season. 6/25/2010

im not im just saying everyone has basketball knowledge. its not a difficult concept to grasp. but you just feel your knowledge is the greatest and you have a lack of respect of others basketball perception.

someone just says something to you and you feel its an attack. if youre gonna be aggressive with someone, prepare for that person to bring it right back.

I typically stay on topic and avoid the interpersonal bickering/measuring. But I do take folks to task who aggressively promote hardline hometown favoritism. I take all criticism that comes my way on my own aggressive fiscal responsiblity preferences and understandings and freely admit to having put out a lot of Baron Davis information that is 100% true and 100% opposed to all PR desires of the Warriors and their fans. Folks said respectfully that they get it and don't need to hear more. I'm not sure I put it all to bed but the balance of the noise has been spit out and dealt with.

Other posters brought up Arenas vs. Baron and that seems to be an interesting topic for discussion today.

I cannot reasonably be expected to take seriously posters who get very pushy but poorly researched/spoken in their disagreements with me, though I am no peach myself. It's an online forum and folks take their online roles very seriously sometimes, transferring typical aggressions and rhetorical hijinks to defense of their discursive personalities in here sometimes. I certainly can't be faulted for maintaining my right to civil discourse when posters use expletives and increasingly irrelevant diversionary tactics (as opposed to my avoiding the direct demands of posters who feel entitled to information they routinely diminish unless it suits their needs to acknowledge some agreement in an attempt to force poster discolsure) in lieu of dealing seriously with the post contents they don't like.

Drafting for need is how you end up being the Warriors for most of the last 14 years.

Take the best player or start planning next year's lotto pick.

Exactly drafting for need got us Fuller and Foyle. Draft best player available and its just gravy if he fills a need. FA and trades fill needs.

Return to Golden State Warriors
