Ray Allen was Player of the Game by a Mile

Don't know what ABC was thinking giving PP Player of the Game.

Ray 19 points (6-11), 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 1 turnover, 2 fouls, 1 blocked shot.

PP 20 points (6-13), 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal, 4 turnovers, 4 fouls, 1 blocked shot.

Like I said, somewhere on this board. Whoever has the bigger game between paul and ray when/if we clinch this, will be the mvp.

Pierce gets it for his defense on Kobe.

Pierce shuts down Kobe in the 4th and makes big baskets. Allen was nice, but Pierce played more of an overall game than Ray did.

PP is MVP right now.

It's a pretty tight race for MVP now. It could really go either way depending on game 5 (assuming we close it out).

Can we give co MVP to Vujacic for playing the worst defense I've ever seen in my life on that Allen layup late in the game?

I'm thinking he should start going by "The Chair" rather than "The Machine." Yi would have a field day with him.

I think it's Pierce, but it's not a "hands down" call. Ray's offense has been excellent, and his defensive abilities have shined as well. He's also been tasked with guarding Kobe and done a good job. Still, I think Pierce's defense on Kobe's has been top-notch and his offense has been outstanding save for one game so far in the Finals.
