Miller would solve several issues w/the Rockets. He would provide scoring off the bench,3 pt shooting, rebounding and runs the break. He would be content being the 6th Man and could step in and start for the games T-Mac(or Battier)missed. He is perfect fit for Adelman's system and he would allow Shane and McGrady to get longer rest breaks, saving them wear and tear.As to the crunch time argument-first,there are offensive/defensive switches at end of games,Rockets could go small w/Battier playing PF and if the Rockets are ahead and need defense they play Battier,if they're behind they play Miller.
That all said, the chances of getting Mike in the preseason are too small to calculate.

so i'm actually more interesting in Andre Miller than Mike Miller

Why not? I mean I wouldnt do it to start the games but at stretches we could definatley play that trio throughout the games.

Both Miller and McGrady are capable of playing the PG spot and can both set up an offense. Battier still defends the opponents best wing whether it be a PG, SG, or SF. That lineup would work well imo with Scola/Landry and Yao front court.

Andre Miller can't shoot. He's a great distributor but he's on Ryan Bowen's level in terms of shooting. Say no to A.Miller.

I woudnt mind going after A. Miller. He wold be an upgrade over Rafer, Bobby and Aaron, and he is a very underrated PG. Im going to have to disagree with you saying that he is on Bowen's level of shooting. Even though he shoot under 10 percent from 3 point range, he did 49 percent overall, meaning he can get to the rack or shoot the mid range shot good.

The mid range shot from a PG is no good with Yao on the court. We need a guy that can stretch the floor from beyond the arc. If Miller is on the court we'll have the Rajon Rondo problem; guys sacking off of him. You see what happened in this Final, the lakers aren't even guarding Rondo. They had to bring in Eddie House to come save the day. I like Andre Miller but not on a team that relies so heavily on role players knocking down perimeter shots.

Yeah you do make sense, but at the same time we need a smart PG who can bring the ball down court instead of T-Mac, and a player who can make players for others, and that's why I like Andre. If only he can shoot from the outside, he can spread the floor for Yao and Tracy.

By the way, I think we need a Eddie House type player on our team. This guy played awsome.

On this team, if you can bring the ball up the floor, set up offence quicky and knock down the outside shot. You're good. I dont think we need a PG on this team that badly. Alston is good at what he does and i think Brooks can develop into a good backup very quickly.

The backup SG/SF is a much bigger issue IMO.

We do need a PG. The type of PG we need is a bigger and stronger one.
Backup SG/SF is a need which is why I think we should draft Brandon Rush.

I don't see CDR going past the Magic at 22. With that in mind, I hope Brandon Rush falls to us. We need a good all around player and Rush is exactly it.

Getting rid of Battier in any scenario is a no no. He's what the Rocket's defense is about. Not to mention he's the only Kobe defender that has been praised as a cross-reference to how Pierce has defended Kobe period. Get rid of a great hustle defender?
