Kenny Anderson on Rome is Burning

Post#1 » by Al n' Perk No Layups! » Fri Jun 13, 2008 8:49 pm

KA was on Rome's show talking about the comeback, 2002 and his new career as a slamball head coach.

When talking about the 2002 comeback he said originally the guys were just wanting to make a respectable and when they made their initial run the Nets tightened up allowing them to complete the comeback. He said he thought at the beginning of the series the Lakers wouldn't win because their supporting cast isn't as good as Boston's. He believes the Lakers won't be able to recover from the loss.

It was cool to see KA again.

Also, Jim's trashing of Sasha was hilarious. I was actually laughing.

Talked about how he wet his pants, "Is that your way of playing defence? Jumping out of the way and yelling "help, foul" knowing full well the guy behind you would do neither," "Sasha jumped out of the way like he was fearing for his life desperately trying to avoid getting run over by a reckless driver," "It wasn't like Ray Ray was going And1 Hotsauce over there, Ray Ray broke both of Sasha's ankles with a simple hesitation move," "Barry Sanders in his prime didn't shake guys like that," "Sasha's parting of the Red Sea defence" and more stuff like that.

Just saw the show. What was cool was they showed the Ray lay-up from a couple different angles, and on one of them they show Pierce in the foreground. The look on Pierce's face is complete and utter joy - probably moreso than if he had made the shot himself.

It really is a cohesive team right now.
