1. It's been a LONG time since the last one. A whole generation of fans has never seen a Celtic championship.
2. It would feature Game 4, the greatest comeback in Finals history.
3. It would validate the careers of at least 7 men

Excellent points, I do agree it will be the greatest of all time. How many accomplishments does this team have in 07/08? It's amazing.. I remember one was no team that has gone to Game 7's the first 2 series' has ever made it to the Finals, we did that, and have a chance of winning it.

Well, simply put, if the Celtics win, it will be the greatest single-season turnaround in the history of all sports. To go from the 2nd worst team in the league the year before, to having the best regular season record (and biggest improvement in wins) and winning the title? Unprecedented! And in the toughest professional sports league to make roster changes? Cool to be witnesses to history

3. It would validate the careers of at least 7 men – each of the Big 3 (for obvious reasons), James Posey (instrumental to two different championship teams), Eddie House (finally producing when it mattered), Doc Rivers (the post-playing part of his career), and Danny Ainge (ditto).
I should have added PJ Brown to that list.
