Who wins Finals MVP

Post#1 » by bigballajohn » Fri Jun 13, 2008 6:36 pm

Right now, i would say ray allen, but since no one even considered the celtics good enough to make the finals til they got garnett, he will prolly win it unless pierce has a huge closer game

Kobe Bryant is the Most Valuable Player.

The Celtics have three good players in Pierce, Ray Allen and KG but they are not as valuable because they can have a bad performances from one or more of their big three and still do OK, but the Lakers needs Kobe to be great every game, which makes him much more valued. Plus Kobe also makes all the other players on his team better which none of the Boston players can do, so he is clearly the most valuable player in the finals.

I would vote for Ray Allen, the most consistent Celtic this series, but Pierce is gonna win it. The comeback from the knee injury and his defense on Kobe in Game 4 pretty much sealed the deal.

I dont' want to hear that excuse. Lakers were picked to win by every analyst and was even favorite in game 2 in Boston.

Gasol can pick up the burden and so can Odom. They did so in other games and series against the Spurs, Jazz and Nuggets.

Allen has been the most consistent. But this series will be remembered for Pierces' comeback from injury and Pierce's great two-way play in the second half of a historical game 4 comeback. He'll win it.

No way in hell it's KG unless he has some crazy monster game...

It's between Allen and Perice. Whoever has the best (between those 2) game if (or when) they close the series will get it.

Allen has been the most consistent player in the series and while he has been huge it has to go to Pierce. Pierce is the reason that the Celtics are up 3 - 1. It was Pierce coming back from the debatable knee injury in game one that turned that game around and it was his defense on Kobe in game four that turned that game around. This series has without a doubt belonged to Pierce and has been the signifying moment of his career.

Ray Allen is the reason they're up 3-1. He's been the most consistent guy on the team, surprisingly after the first 3 rounds. I hope that he gets it, not the Willis Reed wannabe.

Kobe is the MVP, not finals MVP. If the Lakers come back and win 3 straight (doubt it) then it would be Kobe.

I didn't think Pierce played all that great in game 1. Although Pierce played well in game 2 I really think Rondo's penetration was the biggest factor in game 2. I would say whoever plays best between Ray and Pierce in the final win should be finals mvp.

Allen by a fair margin IMO. I don't see how anyone can say Pierce.

Does anyone know who actually determines the Finals MVP? As in who are the people who have the right to vote for it?
