McKie on bench
Former Sixer and Temple star Aaron McKie confirmed that he'll be joining the Sixers as an assistant coach on July 1. McKie spent the first half of last season as a Sixers' volunteer assistant before the Lakers, who owned his player rights because he finished the 2006-07 season with them, included him in the Pau Gasol trade. He spent the rest of the season serving as a mentor to the Grizzlies' younger players.
It was pretty much a given, but it's nice to have blue back on the bench.
