It's also important to consider that a lot of those guys that were being worked out by us were all in the same multi-team workout, so it's not as if they were all worked out individually. What I mean is that I think that in all likelihood, we were probably interested in a few guys from that work out, despite the fact that many guys were listed.

Add Nicolas Batum, DJ Augustine, Darrel Arthur, Joe Alexander, Ty Lawson, Russel Westbrook, and Othello Hunter to that list.
Just was talked about on Sports1140 a couple minutes ago.

The article in the Bee about that seemed to focus mostly on Alexander and then focused a little on Westbrook and Arthur.
Not saying it's necessarily a sign of things to come, but it might be.

In case it hasn't been mentioned. My fellow Greek Kostas Koufos will work out for the Kings. He is a 15-30 prospect but it looks like he's climbing. I don't think I want him in Sacto though. The last thing we need is a another soft big white man with finnese.

I like Koufos and still think he and Hawes would make a pretty good frontline playing side by side. Deadly shooting and post up skill out of the PF/C spots for years to come.

I would definitely agree if there was only one side of the court.

Re: Players worked out by Kings
If we picked Koufos I'd really be surprised, and like with Kevin Love, I can only see him as a value pick for eventual exit via trade.
Unless, this organization wants to go the insufficent defensive route, with defense playing the role of parsley. Which won't happen, thankfully.

Not that it's everything but they would certainly be one of the better shotblocking tandems in the league.

I'm just curious, what happened to the original, big draft thread? Was it removed because it was too big?

Yeah, and in that respect, it would be interesting, but they would just have a very exploitable weakness (quickness) that would eventually really hurt them.

I didn't even notice it was gone.
A lot of older threads didn't get carried over in the upgrade, but they will return in a read-only archive soon. Oh well, I was thinking about locking it anyway and starting a new one since it was getting large...but I've been lazy with stuff like that lately so it didn't get done.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Okay. And that's great there's going to be an archive.

Re: Players worked out by Kings...Official 2008 Draft Thread
What if an anomaly occurred in the draft. Like a Top 8 player falls to us. Like a Danilo Gallinari, Eric Gordon, Anthony Randolph falls to us at the #12? Would we be forced to choose BPA? Or decide to go to the players that we already scouted? i.e. Arthur, Alexander, Westbrook and etc?

I was wondering about this too, especially since I think there is a real chance that Gallinari or Randolph falls to us, although I think Gallinari may have a promise from New Jersey.

Yeah, but assuming that Gallinari falls for us. ...We have a chance to draft Gallinari, Westbrook, Arthur, Jordan or etc...We have very good options. But at the same time it would be difficult to choose.

I'm not to keen on Gallinari really. He looks like a prototype Petrie pick though, but I doubt he (and especially Anthony, who I think will go to New York) will be at #12.

I dont know about that. I actually like Gallinari. If you like Hedo Turkoglu, you will like Gallinari. He plays almost exactly like him IMO. Very versatile. And he is definitely a Petrie pick.

I am pretty much on the Joe Only train unless Randolph or some others fall to us.

Value aside, I'm not into Gallinari for us
Generally, he's definitely an interesting talented big SF, though
