Brandon Rush?

Post#1 » by xxSnEaKyPxx » Tue Jun 17, 2008 12:25 pm

First off, I'd like to say how much I hate these new forums and how it makes me log in every time I want to make a post, even though I click "log me in automatically" each time.

Anyway, I was looking at ESPN and Chad Ford had an article about who's looking good and who isn't. He also said there is a possibility the Pacers would take Rush at 11.

http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/draft200 ... tch-080616

Sorry, didn't realize the link was insider:

"We've had Rush pegged as the No. 15 pick in the draft since our second mock draft, but he might be moving up a few spots given the feedback he's gotten from other teams late in the lottery. It's no longer out of the question that a team such as the Blazers at No. 13, or even the Pacers at No. 11, could take him." -Chad Ford

I'd be really pissed off if we took a SG/SF of any sort unless Gordon fell to us. Even then I would be pissed off if we passed up Westbrook to get him. Bird really needs to be smart here, we have too many needs to make a pick based off best available player, we cannot under any circumstances take another SF, I will go insane if we do. Also, what do ya'll think of Alexis Ajinca? He is really growing on me, there seem to be a lot of good C prospects from foreign countries that could be available in the later picks of the first round or maybe early second. I would love to trade for another pick and take a guy like Ajinca.

Sorry to hear about your problems with this new board, but just like I posted somewhere else, i keep reading the global thread about the new forums where everyone is on suicide watch, the people who are running this joint say they are trying to fix the "bugs" but it's taking longer then expected. A few people shared the same problem as you, they gotta log in each time they post, i luckily don't have such problem, but they say it will be fixed shortly. So just hang in there.

About Rush... i wouldn't mind getting him. He's like another player like a Granger and Dunleavy but in JOB system he could become a real good scorer i think. JOB loves pure shooters like Rush who have size and from what i understand this kid is an above average defensive player. He's had a solid career at Kansas. I wouldn't mind this pick if we have a 2nd first round pick or if we complete the Hinrich/Thomas deal for O'Neal. If we stay the same, i wouldn't go for him with the 11th pick though.

I'm with Grang33r on this one.

I like Rush a lot, but not at #11. Somewhere in the low teens/high twentys I'm game, but eleven is a tad high. I'd also be disappointed with we didn't take a pure point, or distinct big man, first.

Agreed if we could get a late first rounder i wouldn't mind Rush, CDR or Mario Chalmers.
