Vujacic: Celtics Play Too Rough

Post#1 » by TonyMontana » Tue Jun 17, 2008 7:24 pm

Lakers' guard Sasha Vujacic believes that the Celtics have been playing too rough through the first five games of the NBA Finals, according to The Los Angeles Daily News.

"Phil (Jackson) told me after the game that he thought I was a bit emotional. And I think he was right; I didn't manage it right," Vujacic said. "It all started from that poke in the eye (by Celtics' guard Sam Cassell). I got a little bit mad because the ref was right there, and he didn't call it."

Sasha believes that Boston gets away with quite a bit.

"They (Boston) foul a lot. They get away with a lot of fouls," Vujacic said. "When we go back to Boston, we know that they are going do a lot of moving picks like they do, and they're probably going to get away with it. But we got to stay smart, stay focused, and play with poise."

Dear Sasha , welcome to the NBA finals you little *****.
I mean though I agree with the Cs dirty tatics, Pierces chicken dance, Cassell swinging wildly at anything within his reach, P.J Browns pushing and Hand checking every player on the court including his own teammates...........
This is the finals, I think maybe some of the Cs posters are right about Lakers being soft.
What happen to those days of Majic, Worthy, K.A.J, Nick Van Axle , Shaq, Fox etc.
It seems the Cs had a mentality of street balling was the only way they can itimidate the Lakers with, and it has worked nicely to their favor , while Sasha is sitting here and complaining about their aggresiveness.

Grow some balls Sasha and stop flopping and playing with your hair.
Your emberrassing us.

Or a pedicure and a mudd bath.
I mean outside of Ronny Benga Kobe and at times L.O we do have a soft squad.

he never said they play too rough. he said that the refs are letting them get away with illegal screens. dumb article title and dumb wiretap for not changing it.

He never says that, the writer just makes that assumption, and honestly if you read the article, you dont really come out of it thinking "he thinks they are too tough" instead more like "they get away with too much, we must adjust."
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

Im not soley judging Sasha from this article.
Its his B.S flopping on that same exact play which I find emberrassing , I actually watched the game again last night and I recall that play, he took a shot and as he released his shot, it really didnt look like E.T hit him in the face but right after the realease he screams.......... ahhhhhhhhhh.....LOLL
Then he keeps on rubbing the side of his face and complaining to the reffs about the incident.

Sashas flopping and arguning isnt really givin him any credibility with the reffs at all.
Its actually ruinning his image and his credibility and emberrassing his team and his teammates cause he's overdoing it and he's looking like an A55.

+1 I'm gonna take this to the board operators. It pisses me off the way they quote something he didn't say.

He got the bit about the moving screens right and i wouldn't be surprised if Phil is pulling the strings behind this one, trying to keep the refs on their toes.

it happens all the time and its not that they simply copy the title of the article. some wiretap headlines aren't always the same as the title.

Well, it's not Wiretap's fault, it's the LA times. Big surprise.

Sasha always plays tough, and always plays hard. Sometimes Sash plays a little too hard; he needs to tone it down on defense, I mean, stop getting up in the defenders grill, all the time. Sasha's ball pressure is great, sometimes, but against good offensive players he will get exposed, e.g. when Ray drove past him for the game clinching lay-up. This doesn't just go for Sasha though, Radmon and Luke have been killing me; Pierce is blowing by them for lay-ups constantly, and they do not realize, it might be because they are so damn close to him. For **** sake, make the Celtic players hit some mid range jump shots.

totally... I'd like to see more of Trevor... he's shooting better than Luke and he defends better than any other 3

I'm not a Lakers' fan, but I've gotta say I too am tired of the moving screens.

I watched Kobe try to squeeze himself between two moving screeners the other night to jump out at a Celtic jumpshooter the other night. Needless to say, my TV didn't scream back.

That's the only thing that bugs me is the illegal screens, those are cheap shots, everything else is being physical and tough. Even PJ has calmed down on his shoving everyone in the back for rebounds.

Yeah, one thing that bugs me about realgm is that they mislead their titles on articles to get people to click them to read it. They do it all the time and it's frustrating. What I've also noticed too is that they'll say things like "Bryant injured out 6 weeks." And you click on it scared, and it's Patrick O' Bryant and you're like WTF?!? :banghead:
