Congrats to KG

Post#1 » by wolvesbill » Wed Jun 18, 2008 4:00 am

Congratulations to KG  for fulfilling the dream! Thanks to T-Wolves management for trading him from a going nowhere franchise. For all that he did for the Wolves and our community he deserved this!

Loved the "This is for 'Sota" shoutout. Never seen a man so emotional.

management did not owe him a thing, but congrats to the best all-time timberwolf, this cements his legacy as one of the best power forwards ever.

Awesome, just awesome. I've always wondered how a guy like KG would react to winning it all. Amazing. Only thing that could have made it sweeter would be if it was in a Wolves jersey. Love the guy, Love his game, Love his heart.

Kevin Garnett is a CHAMPION.

I completely disagree. He could have left several times and didn't. If they were not going to get the players here in Minnesota to give him a fighting chance they did owe him a new opportunity.

I still think they got rid of the wrong Kevin. If McHale would have been gone, maybe we would have a chance to hoist the trophy here.

KG is a class act (as witnessed by his postgame interview) and deserved a chance to get to the pinnacle.

Seeing his reaction was worth watching alone. That was awesome. I love it!

This is a classic post-game interview going on right now.

I'm from Minny and I was pretty hard on KG on the Bulls board due much to bitterness, but when I saw KG so happy and calling out to 'Sota I smiled and smiled. Grats KG!

After the intense games that Boston and Minny had, I have not been in KG's corner as much as I thought I would be. All my friends know my as the Kevin Garnett lover, but this year was weird cause he was so competitive against the new wolves.

All that was forgotten when he said "this is for everybody in sota". He needed to say that IMO, we have been through just as much as he has. Now my love for him is back and as strong as ever. That immaturity between glen taylor and KG is a long gone memory now.

Congrats to my idol and friend Kevin Garnett

I'm glad KG knows how to look back from where he came from. Mentioning 'Sota was very classy. Congrats KG and the Celtics.

Pretty much sums up everything I felt tonight and all season long. That dedication to Sota meant as much to me as anything he ever did or said while with the Twolves. In the moment, he thought of us. Congrats KG and congrats to all KG fans....Now lets hope he takes a year off to celebrate so we can get a better draft pick!

And to think we could have probably paired last year's #7 with Rashad McCants and gotten Ray Allen (since all it took was #5). And then trade Foye, remove protection from the pick we owed them, and added a future first and maybe get close to getting Pierce(ok that's a stretch). But really, I don't see how we could have been that far off to turn that trade around and bring a championship to Minnesota. We didn't have the expirings to make it worthwhile like Boston did, but maybe a slightly lesser star instead of Pierce?

GO KG!
