The Posey, PJ Brown and Eddie House Appreciation thread

Post#1 » by BobbySura » Wed Jun 18, 2008 5:16 am

So well, I was just going to make this about Posey. Then I started to think about how great PJ Brown has been then i started to think about eddie house and what he brings(and how much i like him) so whatever, make this about the whole lot of the roleplayers if you want.

Posey is probably the best bench player in the whole league. He does it all and I don't think I saw him miss a three in the fourth when we needed him the whole playoffs.

PJ Brown is just fun to watch and I love how he could have 0 points and 2 rebounds for a game and be one of the biggest contributors of the game.

Eddie House is one of my favorite players in the league and I love his energy and the fact that it seemed like he never sat down and kept cheering the team on even when he was getting shafted for Sam Cassell.

I really don't think we could have asked for a better supporting cast. Even going as deep as Scalabrine and Pollard.

We would not have won #17 with these three key contributors.

From Posey's defense, House's shooting and hustle and PJ's trip on the time machine for Game 7 against CLE, I can't begin to express how much these guys meant to us.

I hope they are all back with us next year!!!

Everyone on the team will always have a special place for me now. I hope most of these guys stay with the team next year.

Oh the irony of some of Riley's boys taking down the Lakers.

The one shame in all of this is that I don't think Eddie House ever won a Victory Cigar. I propose an honary Cigar for House and PJ for their outstanding efforts they gave this team.

I love those guys.. This team REALLY was a lovable one, IMHO. I know most fans get excited about the young so called "talented" guys but I love the wiley vets who get a chance to redeem themselves. Guys like Eddie House coming through or Posey playing AWESOME defense on Kobe.. PJ Brown stepping up and showing something special..

Those guys will have a place in my heart.. From top to bottom Danny cut the fat and brought in guys who were team players. Sometimes I think roleplayers get too much credit but not this year. Those guys came up big when it counted.

These guys were unbelievable! We have to get them back next season if possible. PJ might want to retire after this but House and Posey are a priority!

Love these guys, not just for their play but for their personalities. The chemistry was great!

Remember when people said that we had no bench!

Its just sad that we live in a day when the media is more focused on brand name famours players. These guys were the glue that hold the core for this team throughout the playoffs. You can add Powe to the list as well.

leaders of the best bench in basketball

what a team

these are the guys i'll be telling my grandkids about but can't remember thier names

"they had this guy, little guy, ahh what the hell is his name, would come in the game firing 3's and was real firecracker type""

"then they had this guy that could lock up any player in the league you name them, kobe, lebron man he was a great defender"

"and this old guy, they got at like mid season, true veteran and professional great bench guy hit some key baskets in the playoffs"

I'm a huge fan of House, Posey and Pj Brown. Posey is one of the best defenders for the 2, 3 position and on the offensive end, he doesn't do anything stupid and boy he can shoot the three.
House is a fantastic guy, he spreads the floor, knocks down threes, can play defence and always cheering for his team. You should definitly try to resign to those two:p. And one clue Doc: If they are leaving Rondo open and he isn't playing agressive in offence, put in House more quickly :D

Oh yeah, that's right. Thanks for the props and thanks for 2 of our most important championship pieces! Props to the Heat too then! I'm giving props to everyone today!!

It's imperative for us to resign those 2 guys. Don't waste money and cap space on any FA. Lock those guys up, add 2 rookies in the draft and let's go!!!

Oh and bring back my binky, PJ BROWN!!!! Come on PJ, don't retire for one more year!

One year with a player option, He is mos def gonna opt out. But I think we should give him the full MLE(5.8 mil) for four years. Without him we do not win numba 17!

I'm so happy for these three, especially Eddie. He really got screwed with the rotation early in the playoffs, hung in there, didn't complain, and turned out to play a vital role in the Finals series.

Posey's defense was 1st team all defense caliber. He had so many huge games in the playoffs including an 18 point outburst in "the comeback" and an absolute lock down effort on C. Billups in Game 6 of the ECF. I heart James Posey.

As far as PJ, Danny has to, I repeat, HAS TO bring back PJ Brown. He doesn't play a whole lot of minutes, but like Leon Powe, when he's in there he works hard. He plays great great defense and I laud him on his ability to fit seemlessly into this team at the end of the year.

Great stuff all around. I can't stop smiling inside and out.

All 3 of them were huge signings. Props to Danny Ainge for getting them. We wouldn't have won a tittle without these 3 guys.

Props to all 3 of them.
