I want to congratute tim legler for being the only analyst at espn to pick us to win it. GO CELTICS!!!!!!!!!!!! As for other analyst who picked the lakers to win in 4 or 5 go back to sleep.

I'm not surprise that ESPN only had 1 analyst that picked us to win it all. It just shows how clueless they are when it comes to finding people to discuss the NBA. They need to hire new people. Thankfully one of them stood out. All hail Tim Legler.

Legler simply used his brains, instead of his heart to come up with that long-shot of a prediction... the Celtics had the best record in the NBA all season long... they beat the team with the second-best record in the NBA in 6 games, 2 of them on the road... Naturally, picking them to win the championship was a logical choice for the man. I don't think it took a genius to come up with such a bold prediction... it's just that most of ESPN and ABC and the NBA are DYING for another Michael Jordan-type phenomenon, and a lot of them simply don't like the Boston Celtics... so they pick with their hearts or their biases... Legler just used his brain this time around...

He may have been the only analysts but all three reporters on the Sunday's Sports Reporters before the Finals began picked the Celtics to beat the Lakers. They were Bob Ryan, Mike Lupica and I don't know his name but he is a relatively young black reporter with a bald head. I was shocked when all three picked the Celtics.

Yes Tim Legler is very smart about the game, Jim Armstrong was on around the horn before game 1 and said this was the most lopsided finals in finals history and that LA would sweep lolololololololololol

I am actually glad all those morons picked the Lakers. That just confirms they are journalists, not basketball "experts." Validation is a wonderful feeling.

I'm not saying this in hindsight, but among my group of Celtics-fan friends, I was the only one who liked Tim Legler. I always liked him, and Greg Anthony, as analysts. The fact that Legler was right only makes me like him more. 8-)

Jon Barry picked us to win in 6, I think he was the only one from ESPN who got it exactly right.

Yeah, Barry and Legler both picked the Celtics to win the whole thing from the beginning. Greg Anthony didn't make a prediction. He was honest and said he had no idea and didn't just go with what everyone else thought.

Leger's not bad, but I think when he puts his NY bias to the side, Greg Anthony is far and away the most enjoyable NBA analyst on ESPN, in my opinion.
