Ray's Locker Room Presence

Post#1 » by nyhuskyfan » Wed Jun 18, 2008 4:08 pm

Saw this article on Rondo on SI.com. Late in the article, it talks about how he was feeling down about his play and talked with Ray for about 20 minutes before Game 6 - got his mind right.

Rondo, however, was a little rattled after back-to-back poor games in Los Angeles.

"Before the game, I was going through a lot," Rondo said. "I talked to Ray about 20 minutes before the game. He said just let the frustration go and he told me I could still be a threat for the team. I just had to go out there and be aggressive. No matter how many shots I missed, I kept attacking the rim, making Kobe play defense. I didn't want to give him the night off like I did the last couple of nights.

Of course, Ray would have been a good person to talk to about that after the Cleveland series.
