They probably could push them to 7.

It's a matter of matchups . . . I don't think they push it to 7, but if we have the same type of home crowds we had against Boston then maybe.

I'd be very difficult for us to contend with LA due to some of the matchups. I believe we could push them to 7, but just because we pushed Boston doesn't mean LA will fall over like they did during the finals, so there are many aspects of the game that need to be accounted for.

watching the Lakers, i saw how they don't play defense and how un-athletic they are...... i like the Hawks chances on Hawks being able to run on the Lakers

Are you guys for real? I think they would beat us in 5, MAYBE we could take them to 6.

We did beat the Lakers in the only game we played them after they acquired Gasol.

I'm not saying we would take LA to 7, but I don't think it's THAT far fetched, because after watching Boston in the finals I would think they'd sweep us easily, and they didn't. It would be easier to score on LA, that's for sure.

Boston hadn't really hit their stride when they played us.

Its impossible to know what happens against a different team obviously, but I guess we could take games 3 and 4 if our guys hit those same shots.

I bet you say the same thing when the Hawks played the Celtics.

With a record crowd displayed at Philips Arena and all of them in favor of the Hawks...they can easily go to game 6. And if they left out Zaza, they easily go to 7 games.

We played them when we got Bibby and got blown out.but I think we could challenge them in a series. They're softies.

You guys do realize the Lakers were "exposed" in the NBA Finals right? They are a lot better than us. Plus we all know we played over our heads in the Boston series and matchup much better with the C's than LAL.

Without Zaza, the C's series doesn't go 7 games in the first place.

Exposed or not the Lakers will still be expected to make the finals next season over the rest of the West.

It's impossible to tell....remember the consensus was that the Hawks were going to get swept and Chad Ford(and alot of ppl on the Boston board)went as far as to say the Hawks have no chance to even win 1 game. I could see a situation in which the Hawks won 3 home games against the Lakers.

We could beat the Lakers but I'm sure Kobe would get every call, just like the game in LA, and we wouldn't get any. The main advantages we would have would be PF, SF and C everything else would be a wash.

Are you implying that Al Horford is better than Gasol?

Did everyone forget that we only won 37 games last year? How can you guy rip Woody so much if you think we could take the Lakers to 7 games?

Yeah, Gasol may be on the soft side but over the course of a series he'd have his way with us.

Anyway, don't forget that the Lakers peaked early in the playoffs and the Celtics peaked late. We hit the Cs right in the nose when they weren't ready for the fight on the road. Its possible the Lakers would give us the same result but its certainly not something I'd bank on.
