"I love this city- I can't see myself going anywhere else."

Post#1 » by LiquidFire » Thu Jun 19, 2008 2:41 am

"I'm dedicated to bringing a championship to this city," James told Mark "Munch" Bishop during an appearance later Wednesday on ESPN 850 WKNR to promote the upcoming King for Kids Bike-A-Thon. "I'm bringing a parade to this city. I love this city. I love Northeast Ohio. ... Right now I can't see myself going anywhere else."

do you really think it would be a good idea for him to say

"i don't want to be here."

he's going to make the best out of his team as he can, try to run for a championship and bolt if they are still mediocre

I don't really see him going anywhere else either. But people are going to believe what they want to believe. No real point in trying to prove the unprovable.

LeBron is homies with Jay-Z. Clearly he will bolt for the Nets.

If Cavs management doesn't get LeBron serious help - he WILL LEAVE.

He needs at least a Lamar Odom level type of player to help him make plays on offense.

If they can get a Jermaine Oneal or even a Michael Redd.....it will be a solid motivating factor for James to stay.

Loyalty only goes so far.....in the end winning matters.

If the Cavs don't show they have/want a legit shot at winning the entire thing then LeBron is going to win somewhere else!

As expected, there will be no miracle free agency in 2010. Is this real news? No one with sense really believed that Lebron would really opt out and sign with the Knicks, did they?

^^^exactly..

Lebron is class when it comes to teammates and the team/organization..he's already one of the best leaders in the NBA and he's still so young..the guy has never complained about his teammates, never complained about the Cavs..he isn't going to say anything negative..some guys in today's NBA, even stars, come out and complain about their team(even though they usually have even more help than The King) and **** on teammates when they're unhappy..

that isn't Lebron..the guy knows how to behave himself and knows how to act for the team..this guy is gonna be in the Tim Duncan/Kevin Garnett leadership bracket, where he's so unselfish and always puts the team first..

IMO he's gonna be in Brooklyn by that time..of course I could be wrong, but I'd be surprised if he didn't..I hope that he doesn't for Cleveland fans, because he'll bring any team a title with any help(he's already gotten to the finals and he took this year's champ to 7 without any significant help)..I live in NY, so I'd love for him to come to Brooklyn, so I can get the Nets season tickets..

Talk about ignoring facts. every year Lebron comes out and talks about how he needs new teammates, the team needs changes, or whatever else he can do to deflect the blame to others. I have yet to hear Duncan ever come out to do that.

yeah maybe because he already has ginobili-parker... LeBron never blamed the others for not winning a championship, all he says is "we have to get better" which is truth! No one can win a championship with the current Cavaliers team not MJ, not Duncan, not Magic!

Other thing is LeBron never gave a signal of leaving Cleveland during his entire career so it's hard to understand those endless rumours.

Duncan said he would consider leaving if the Spurs would continue to be 2nd rate to the Lakers. We were the Lakers whipping boy and in the eyes of many had no shot of winning a title. When the Spurs won a title in 03... he then said he would be a Spur for life. You don't think Duncan would have seriously considered leaving if the Spurs lost again to the Lakers in 03 in his free agency year?
