I think its because of the "unless a team gets desperate" part. Teams don't generally get desperate to move back.

I hope it still could be the Redd for #7/TT/Mobley deal. Then #7/#8 for #3.

So we basically trade Redd, #7, and #8 for Tim Thomas, Cuttino Mobley, and the #3?? Seems like we are getting ripped on that one to me

We don't have the 7th and Redd. We would essentially be Redd to move up to 3.

It's really trading Redd/#8 for TT/Mobley/#3, but I agree, don't know if that is a good deal for us. I know that the ones that really love Mayo would probably do it, and I like Mayo, but think that is a bit too much.

I'd rather do that then say Yi/8 for #3.

hmm who could it be.

PP25 wrote:That said, if you read Wichmae's clue's, and figure that we aren't talking about pick #3, then the logical next pick would be Memphis. If Hammond/Skiles wanted Kevin Love, and Love is there at 5, I think CV/8 for 5/Warrick would be a good deal for both teams.

aaprigs311 wrote:I'm trying to think of other good trades that have been discussed. Something for Josh Howard perhaps? Can you tell us whether the trade will kick us into contention or is it more of a rebuilding type of move?

Mcfro wrote:My money's on Portland. They want Alexander and we could use some of their youth (I'd like Outlaw especially). Plus there'll be good value still available at #13. #8 & CV for #13 & Outlaw? We take Speights at 13? I'd be cool with that.

Europa wrote:I proposed Villanueva for Lowry/Warrick several months ago. Perhaps the Grizzlies would consider Villanueva/8 for Lowry/Warrick/3. I think the Bucks are making out like bandits in this deal so maybe they throw in a future 2nd. But this trade would enable the Bucks to get Love - assuming that's who Hammond is trying to get - and pave the way for Mo to be dealt after July 1.

Expect right now there will be a draft night deal of some sort.

How about Mike? :D

How about: "Will anyone the Bucks are going to trade thank God when first interviewed after the deal occurs?"

That could be anybody.

Very nice

Elementary my dear Fromy.

Upon further sleuthing:

Europa's deal doesn't make any sense because Memphis has the 5th pick not the 3rd. Although maybe that is why Wichmae said he is on the right track.

Wichmae also said that we might be disappointed. To me that would exclude the Howard deal because we would all be pretty happy about that.

That leaves the #8/CV for #5/Warrick deal and the moving back with Portland. The Love deal we might be disappointed because we didn't move up to 3 like everyone has been saying in this thread. Moving back in the Portland deal would also disappoint some in the hopes to move up to get their guy.

I take the "win now" and "some of you might be disappointed on draft night" as trading out of the draft all together and gaining a veteran.

If that is the case, it had better be a damn good player because I still like Gordon/Alexander at 8 and some of the trade up options suggested. I am just praying it's not a 2-3 year window move.

Sounds like you've played a lot of Clue in your time Nowak. Well done.

So, you're a Gallinari guy?

These are the things that will make draft night a bummer for me:

1. The Bucks stand pat at 8 and draft Eric Gordon, Brook Lopez or Gallinari.

2. The Bucks trade Redd for crap (and as of today, I can't think of any deal involving the Knicks and Clips that doesn't look like a crap trade to me).

Those are really the only two things that could happen that would leave me less than satisfied with the official start of the Hammond Era.

You've lost me. I know Memphis has the fifth pick. My original guess was Villanueva/8 for Minnesota's pick (#3). Wichmae has pretty much ruled that out. My second guess was moving back to get Portland's pick and additional player or players. Then I offered up a variation of my trade proposal of months ago with the Grizzlies which at that time revolved around Villanueva and Lowry but now would include the two picks (which again, I think would be a steal in the Bucks' favor).

So which of these deals doesn't make sense to you? If you're saying the Memphis one with the picks isn't realistic I think you're probably right and I acknowledged it's tilted heavily in Milwaukee's favor.

Take a look at my post where I quoted all of those deals. You have Lowry/Warrick/#3. I get what you mean now.

Sounds like you've played a lot of Clue in your time Nowak. Well done.

I did a lot when I was a kid. I always was Mr. Green. Then when I was like 12 I got mad when I found out Mr. Green was probably a jew. For some reason my mom then hit me. :ouch:

If we stand pat at 8, he is my guy. (barring someone dropping)

Ahhh ok, now I understand. My mistake on that.

I've been an advocate of trading down or trading out of the first completely to get a proven vet since lotto night. I've been in the minority with that point of view so I wonder if either of these two options are what we'll see and that's what wichmae is referring to when he says a lot of people will be disappointed.

I might as well throw my trades into the hat

Redd, Villanueva and #8 to Memphis for # 5, Mike Miller, Kyle Lowry, and Jason Collins. Take Love at 5.

Mo and Gadzuric to Portland for Raef Lafrentz and the # 13. Take BPA at 13 (Rush?)

Lowry, Sessions, Bell
Miller, Rush
Mason, Simmons
Yi, Love
Bogut, Love
