I think they could have an honest arguement if the series was even close but no objective observer has come away from the Finals and said "yeah the Lakers really got jobbed by the refs!"

Los Angeles was flat outplayed on both ends of the court by the Celtics. It didn't go to 7 games. Boston won convincingly three times at home (including the final 39 point whopping, plus a game 2 beating that only looks respectable now because of a late run by LA) and Los Angeles' two wins at home were close games and not at all inspiring.

Contrast that with the '02 series the Lakers had against the Kings, a Game 6 where nearly all of the national press was questioning the fairness of the 4th quarter calls -- a series that went to 7 games and had a number of those decided in the closing seconds -- close games where official calls made the difference between winning and losing; not blowouts.

LOLOLOL do they forget the kings? The best part about winning this year is with Donaghy coming out with his fake ref cheating story, this is the first time people can say we won alone and not with the refs help.
