The type of role player we need behind Gilbert. Having him could also let us use Gil as a SG sometimes while improving the defense since hes a better defender than AD.

agreed

he is exactly the kind of role player who would serve a very useful
purpose in a Wiz uni. Pressure on the ball at the point of attack. No
one we have now does that effectively and to my way of thinking,
that's where good (or bad) defense begins. The other 4 guys have
a much easier or harder time depending on whether your PG is
always getting broken down. I think Caron would get a ton more
steals than he already does if someone like KL was at the point.
There'd be a lot less open looks because the D would not be
constantly playing catchup rotations after penetration.
A lot of what we call 'thought' is just mental activity

No he is not right for this team, he can't shoot the outside shot and he is a bad free throw shooter. If this guy can't crack 25 mpg on the Grizzlies he is worthless to us.

Then who will be defending those sg's because we all know Arenas won't guard the Kobe's, Wade's, and T-mac's of the world with any success.

Let me just say that I was for drafting Lowry back in 2006. I'm intrigued by how many posters here want to acquire him.

He does have number of strenghths

1) He's a pesky defender
2) He has a knack for getting to loose balls
3) He's a very good rebounder for a point guard
4) He is super quick and can get to the lane at will
5) He give it his 100% every time he's on the court

Lowry's jumper is not consistent at all. His assist to turnover ratio is a 2.67:1, which is encouraging but far from perfect. While he was a 70% free throw shooter last year, it certainly seems like a correctable problem especially since the Wizards have shooting coach Dave Hopla. Lowry was essentially a rookie this season considering that he played only 10 games in his 1st season. Since he's only 22, he could improve upon his game.

With a healthy Arenas, there may be no need to acquire Lowry for the short term. Arenas will likely play somewhere near 40 minutes per game while Daniels can resume playing a backup role. I also don't know if Lowry will ever develop a consistent jumper considering that was his biggest weakness coming out of college.

Well, its a good reason for JCN to go back to his old team.
"Reports out of Spain suggest Navarro’s contract is for five years and $15 million euros (around $23 million), making him the best paid player in the history of FC Barcelona’s basketball team."

He maybe would have got 3 years $9-11 mil from Memphis if he stayed.
I was a proponent for having JCN on our bench. Now, I'm actually glad that EG (likely) got something for him from Memphis.

Agree. I just hope the MEM pick will materialize into a #1 somewhere down the road.

Regardless, EG got what he could for a player who was never going to wear a Wiz uniform.
