Is Paul Godfrey the Richard Peddie of the Blue Jays?
Just listening to reports that JP had to go to Godfrey to get permission to fire Gibbons got me thinking. Is this exactly like how Peddie operates with the Leafs? Does Godfrey also get in the way of operations with the Blue Jays?

Well if your JP and you've made moves that havent panned out, well I guess you may need to get permission on a few things, because your moves have not be working.
Raptors, Leafs, Jays. #Toronto

Well I think every GM must get the last "OK" from the owner....
I remember an interview from Mark Cuban, who wrote an article about conversations between GM's, and how he feels sorry for every other GM (except his own) in the league because they would agree on a trade, but then right last minute, they have to run it off with the owner, and it's frustrating. Cuban also talked about how he gives his GM full autonomy.
