What's up everyone, it's been a while since my last post! Haven't had much time to post but I've made sure to read your interesting post once in a while when I had time.
We had a good run this year, shorter than we hoped, but good to see that we're still progressing.
Alright, with the business at hand. This idea was inspired after reading through the draft summits earlier today.

**Draft Picks**
Ran it through the trade checker and it worked: Trade ID #4664093
**Note**
The trade checker does not have draft picks so I could not include them.
I think the Jazz and Milwaukee would probably do this trade without including picks but Houston would be left with the short end of the deal. So to motivate them to follow through, I think Milwaukee could include a future 1st (lottery protected) and we (the Jazz) could include a one or both of our 2nd if needed to make it work (we don't need them).
So tell me what you guys think? What do you like and what don't you?
Reasoning (if you would like to know, if not STOP reading):
Utah -
I like AK's effort this year and would hate to let him go but his contract is a burden. We have all mentioned how great Battier would be in our system. So with this trade we unload Ak's contract and get Battier as our new SF. Jackson is needed to match salaries and is not a bad back up PG if I may say so. His contract is expiring, so if it doesn't work out, "see you later" at the end of the season! With our 23rd pick, hopefully Hibbert is still there so he can clog the lane and use him to eventually replace Collins.
Hart was just thrown in to open up the roster space. This trade worked without him being included but then we would still be stuck with him! I'm guessing the Bucks buy him out or just let his contract expire.
Milwaukee -
Lately, it seems that every Milwaukee fan was on our board with an AK trade idea! I guess they really like him! So we grant them their wish without having to take Redd. They get the SF they want and unload Redd's contract as well. Redd is older but can still put up points. Jazz fans would probably like to have him if it wasn't for that huge contract! With the 8th pick they can still draft a SG/SF prospect and allow him to develop until Ak's contract expires.
Houston -
Okay, Houston takes a risk here but I think with the extra draft picks in the trade it puts them over the top and give the 'go ahead'! Houston needs another scorer to take the pressure off of T-mac and Yao. They have a good supporting cast but nobody they can really depend on. Battier is a good player, more defensive minded than most. So by trading Battier, who currently plays at SF, it will allow T-mac to move to his natural position. Redd would take the SG spot. Redd would be able to put up points and relieve the pressure off of T-Mac and Yao. With the 25th pick they can probably pick up Chalmers to replace Jackson.

Are you kidding me? They would gladly dump Redd even if its to add AK and his contract. At least the way they talk about him on the Milwaukee board should suggest..

This is a great trade for Utah. I would love to have Battier on this team. Great defender and can shoot. why wouldnt a jazzfan want this? But no way Houston does this. Not necessarily cuz they get ripped off, but for two reasons. #1 McGrady currently plays SG. #2 The jazz have ousted Houston the past two years in the playoffs. We even made McGrady cry! Why would Houston want to help out Utah?
Which is unfortunate cuz I would love to see Battier in Utah.

I think my first question would be "why don't the Bucks just cut the Jazz out and take the much cheaper Battier for their SF".
Not bad, though.

Good question, I had to think about it for a minute. I think the reason why the Bucks would prefer AK over Battier is that AK can be used to play the PF in the East. I know I said they "would get the SF they wanted" but in all reality they probably would play AK at the PF spot more so than at the SF. They drafted Yi last year, he is a 3/4, and has been getting most of the SF minutes. Villanueva has not perform up to par at the PF spot, so I think he would probably be more effective coming off the bench. So the front court would probably look like this Yi/AK/Bogut!
If they bring Battier, then I think they would need to move Yi at the PF. He might eventually progress to play that position, but right now I don't think he is ready to be that physical. I think AK has enough basketball IQ to play PF now and wont back down from the physical contact in the post.

I don't mind the trade. I like AK but he does make more then he deserves. I've always both Jackson and Battier's game.
I don't see the defensive Rockets taking Redd though.

Re: Three Team Trade Idea (Hou, Mil, Ut)
This is actually a pretty fair trade.
Adelman would love to get a 3 point threat which was one of the Kings strength, and they have been drafting pretty well lately it seems, Redd would fit that bill, and would be a nice player next to Yao and McGrady. It also gives them the 3 all-star line up that seems to be the fad these days.
Milwaukee dumps Redd, gets AK who is extremely versatile and gives them one of the most versatile teams with Yi, Villenueva and AK, plus they get to start building around Bogut.
Jazz get a good lockerroom guy in Batter and an aging but smart back up PG in B-Jax.
Thats a pretty solid trade.

I'd do this trade just to make Rocket fans admit Battier flops.
