Bruins select Joe Colborne

I like the pick. Mainly because he was one of the few names recognized. But it was a surprise to see the B's take him. Another center??? Not buying the comparisons to Jumbo Joe either.

Your thoughts? I am having a mixed reactions.

Oh and what the hell, why did tsn talk to every single kid or gm from the team, except the bruins. Complete bull. I wanted to hear from chia, or at least Colborne.

Anyway, here is hoping the bruins make a trade for a vet, or maybe get back into the first round.

ugh, im gonna vomit. colborne is (if hes lucky) a thornton-lite minus grit and physical play... so basically a big slow cotton swab, who will probably do to us what blake wheeler just did to PHX.

terrible, i wish chiarelli would let his staff do the drafting because PC does not impress me like bradley does

I understand the hate. Not just from you, but many bruins fans are reacting poorly. But I trust chia and co. as they did bring us Lucic last year. And Hammill doesn't look to bad either. ANOTHER CENTER THOUGH!! Does this signify a trade?

This draft has been boring for the bruins. So many trades yet none involving the B's.

actually, lucic was drafted the year before last year, when the staff did everything because chiarelli was still under contract in ottawa.

i like hamill, but i dont know that we should get credit for that, i think the whl just produces talented players. other than that i cant say i feel like were good with anyone directly drafted under chia, maybe knackstedt, not confident in cross, goulet, ostrcil or reuel

Oh yeah. You are right. I remember when we drafted Kessel, they showed PC at the ottawa table.

Yeah chia is bad at drafting huh? I remember last draft they were saying we reached for Hammill.

Well I just want some damn trades. I really thought PC would make a trade for a top 6 forward. Does this mean PC thinks hossa will be available come the first. And would come here?

Its a little early to say definitively that he is bad at drafting, but i get the feel that hes kind of like jerry jones and doesnt always listen to his staff, who are the guys who brought in all the prospects we love.

that being said i do like hamill a lot, and felt that was ok.

i feel like hossa could be more buck than bang, but id like to see some minor moves made.

Read in a article (sorry, too lazy to grab a link) that chiarelli tried to move up to number 2, and 3 to get doughty or bosnogian (sp?).

Found that interesting. Wonder what he put on the table.

We have a chance now with Hossa. If Malkin stays with Pitt. And Montreal already made some moves with tanguay and rights to sundin, I think Hossa is a real possibility.

If Malkin stays, I dont see how Pitt can afford Hossa, so that is definitely positive news for us in terms of having a shot.

I've calmed down some on Colborne, but I am still hesitant. The upside is there, and he is still very young.

I really like the pick ups of Sauve and Arniel.

Good young prospect, I can't wait to hear this kids name in a few years.
