Time to Make your pick, Who do you want!

Post#1 » by GameTime_3 » Sun Jun 22, 2008 1:16 am

The draft is less then a week away and everything is up in the air. So who do you want and why? No more hiding, Pick who you want and stick to it. Everyone Post! Post who you want, Who you think we will get and Why?

Who i want---- Micheal Beasley, The guy is everything i want in a PF. The game is changing and there is more need for speed then size. Everything about beasley says All-Star. The guy will be a great Pick and roll player and i honestly think that before he hits 23, that he will be acouple inches taller.

Who i think we will get----Oj Mayo,

Why---I see riley trading away acouple of the bad contracts and taking the 3 player on the board. Riley is a man of mystery and i can see him doing many things. But you put the gun to my head and i would say, "Blount + Beasley for Wilcox + Mayo"

Now whats your pick? And why?

I want Beasley. He is as "sure" a player as somebody coming into the draft can be. He has superstar potential and would be a great player to go next to Wade. Remember, all last year all the attention was on him because he didn't have anybody to take the pressure off him, but with Wade he will have players playing him 1 on 1, which will make a big difference.

2nd round I'd like to get a player like Kyle Weaver, Sasha Kaun, or Jamont Gordon. What I'd really like is to try to get in the end of the 1st round to grab Hibbert, but I doubt they will try and grab another pick. The Spurs are said to not want their first round pick becuase 1st rounders are garunteed a roster spot, and they have no room. Give this years 2nd rounder and 1 or 2 of next years 2nd rounders to grab the 26th pick and take Hibbert. He has good post moves and post skills and plays good defense. He would be a good fit next to Haslem/Beasley/Wade by giving us that low post presense.

Beasley

If he goes #1, Rose or Mayo would be fine with me. Not coming away with one of those 3 guys or a top, young veteran would be a disaster, imo. I don't want to see a trade down to 5 or 6 in order to dump Blount. Blount is terrible, but dumping his contract is not worth sacrificing a top 3 talent.

Beasley!

Wade/Beasley would make a great 1-2 punch from the get-go.

Beasley. Rose would be a good playermaker for the team, but as others have said Wade and Beasley is too good to pass up.

Beasley and Wade has the potential of becoming the most dominating duo in the league.

Beasley. Then if Riles can get the right pieces we could end up with a tandem that works the way A.I and Melo was supposed to work.

Nothing against getting Rose but if we don't want Beasley we should do the Blount + B-Easy for Wilcox + Mayo. Mayo shooting will immediately space out the floor while Rose still has a little way to go to develop that jumpshot.

I would like Beasley.

I am pretty disenchanted with the idea of dealing him on draft night for for a mediocre package just so we can get rid of some contracts. (See: #5 and Miller or #4 and Wilcox) I'd be more apt to just keep him and see what happens. (Of course, if we get a great offer, then you have to consider it.)

In a perfect world, we'd get Beasley and deal Marion for other pieces.

I want Rose.

But I think is either Beasley, or Mayo plus a player, while dumping Blount.

The only reason why Beasley is getting so much hype in this board, is because we all know Rose most likely is going to end up a Bull.

And to the guy saying that Wade and Beasley is another version of A.I and Melo. I hope that is not true, because A.I and Melo suck big time in the Playoffs.

My choice is whoever is left between Rose or Beasley.

Rose fills a need position. But where does the Jefferson-Kidd-Carter Nets end up? Heat need a post presence.

A scorer like Beasley is going to be a nice complement to Wade in years to come. Beasley can give the Heat the post presence they need. I think if Beasley is drafted, he will play both the forward position as Mason and Walker was in the past.

B-easy

If not him, then i take rose and look to trade him IF there is a good offer (which there will be)...if not, i just keep rose and make a run at brand next yr

if im pat riley, the team WILL have brand or beasley by 2009

beasley/marion or brand/rose...

Yeah A.I and Melo did suck when it mattered.
But I meant it in a sense that it will be like having A.I and Melo the way it was supposed to be.
With the 2006 Finals MVP and Beasley I doubt we'll suck in crunch time.

Mayo and Rose are nice but they wont help take the pressure off of wade.... If wade wants to do a gg he gives it to beasley in the post... if wade is tired beasley could play some one on one and score on his defender.... he will be a great relief... we do not need an unbelievable pg we could settle for a decent one or one who plays D and drains the three.. they say all great teams have great pgs.... but they do not have a wade who plays both guards involuntarily..... chris paul but who is his sg? We need a post player and that is beasley.... take a risk at his aditude problems and take him... then you must keep marion because he is a defensive stud.. and pretty darn good offensively... Boston won with their trio because all of them averaged out at 15 or above..... if we get a trio... wade beasley Marion players would sign smaller contracts to run deep and try for the ring... wade is a winner people would like to play with him.... but besides just wade we got marion and possibly Beasley.
now if beasley falls at the one then idk what to say take rose... i feel he will be a bust. sure he is a true pg but i mean he averaged 14 points 6 assists and 5 rebs. in college those numbers arent too stunning.....
IF we trade back.... we wont do it with seatle because wilcox and mayo is not enough for beasley and blount... now if seatle put in all of their expirings and we put in beasley blount banks then it is a maybe but probably not
