Man, those fouls on Pollard and Divac were just ridiculous. Good job on whoever got those clips up.

The Nets got embarrassed by an inferior Lakers squad. They got embarassed in the regular season by the Kings. It would not have been close. The WCF was the NBA Finals that year.

All else being said a series between the '02 Kings and '02 Nets at least on paper appears as though it would have been fun to watch. The all around passing of that Kings team vs. the controlled fast-break of the Nets led by a prime Jason Kidd... Oh well...

Im not sure about that. If we beat the Lakers in 6 at Staples. Which they swept you guys, how would you think the Nets would beaten the Kings? The Kings were by FAR the best team in that year. Almost the majority of the basketball world would have said that the Kings would have stomped the Nets in 4 just like the Lakers. Not taking away from the Nets but I dont think they would have stand a chance against a team were arguably one of the best teams in NBA history that didn't won the title.

The Nets would have matched up so much better against the Kings that was the main thing I was getting at. Kidd vs. Bibby, Martin vs. Webber, Kittles vs. Peja (at least defensively Kittles would probably stick Peja)... That particular Kings team was better than the Nets but no one in their right mind would rather have faced the Lakers instead of the '02 Kings team.

Also @ Cruel_Ruin you might want to check your facts, the Nets and Kings met twice in the regular season:

Game 1: Nets 97 vs. Kings 98
Game 2: Kings 83 vs. Nets 117

I wouldn't exactly say that the Nets got embarassed in the regular season by the Kings (in 2001-2002).

Yeah, they would match up better but regardless it wouldn't be that close IMO. At most the series will be done at 6 (But I would predict a sweep). That Kings team were deep and dangerous. And I like the Nets back then with the young/rookie Kenyon and prime Kidd. But it would be Kings all the way.

Q1 and Q2
http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=LcS10rSrO ... re=related
1:39 Kobe is a foot away from Bibby, Bibby gets foul call
1:45 Divac just stands behind Shaq, Divac gets foul call
2:15 Hunter flops vs Divac, Divac gets foul call
3:00 Pollard gets murdered on a layup attempt, no foul called
4:00 Jackson gets hacked on a drive, no foul called
4:45 George shoves Divac, double technical instead of single TO vs George

Q3 and Q4
http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlByVWEEX ... re=related
4:10 Fisher commits shooting foul vs Bibby, no call, Kobe finishes and1 vs Pollard
5:38 Shaq throws over Pollard, who does nothing -- foul called, Pollard fouled out
6:44 Shaq travels vs Divac and runs into him -- foul vs Divac, his 5th
8:40 Horry flops vs Webber, who hit his shot -- foul vs Webber, his 5th, plus the basket is invalidated
9:10 Horry falls over his own feet, falls into Divac -- foul vs Divac, and he fouls out
9:35 Shaq clotheslines Funderburke -- shooting foul instead of flagrant foul

End of Q4
http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=b0KJvlSUB-w
0:22 Christie and Webber clean block vs Kobe -- foul called on Christie
0:51 Fox jumps into Turkoglu -- foul called on Turkoglu
1:20 Kobe elbows Bibby -- foul called on Bibby -- Kings forces to sacrifice their last timeout to stuff sth into Bibby's bleeding nose

This just feels wrong. Either super corrupt or super incompetent.

One of the first plays that made me into a Quasi-Believer was that Bibby foul. Mike didn't even touch him!

This thread is so dumb.

Perhaps I should post a video of some game during the mid season and call the NBA a corrupt league, because that's what everyone is doing here. You people act like the NBA is the only sport where the refs make mistakes. The fans are just as bad, if not, worst than the NBA.

OMFG YOU GUYS THE NBA IS FAKE AND I HAVE PROOF!

WATCH THIS VIDEO AND THERE'S SOME FOULS THAT WERE NOT CALLED. THIS IS ALL THE PROOF NEEDED TO PROSECUTE THE NBA FOR BEING RIGGED.

I did not remember this game very fondly when it occurred, and I'm absolutely shocked out how bad the officiating is in retrospect. I'm surprised that the Kings were even able to keep the game close. Hell, I'm surprised that they didn't just walk off the court, because if these calls were made against me in a pickup game, I know that I'd find another court to play on.

Commentators do not often mention poor calls, but in game 6, Walton did so repeatedly.

That's not even close to the travesty that was Game 6. Documented in the three videos were 25 minutes of some of the most egregious phantom calls and no-calls to ever mar the game, all of which favored the Lakers.

While that in itself is not necessarily evidence that the game was rigged, it is absolutely undeniable that the game was terribly officiated. The fact that the calls went predominantly in favor of the big market home team trying to extend the series, coupled with Donaghy's allegations, certainly warrants questioning.
