Thanks to the Mods
well, i've been hiding out and letting the wounds from the finals heal. this was one of the wildest.........if not THE wildest...........lakers seasons i've witnessed and i'm guessing there are lots of you lakers fans that feel the same way.
i think we've got a great community here on the realgm/lakers board. lots of great fans with good insight and knowledge of the team and the game. sometimes that leads to a cohesive discussion and sometimes it leads to a heated debate. with all the turmoil the lakers went through the last 12 months and all the different views amongst us posters, things could have easily gotten out of hand in this forum. but it didn't and a great deal of the credit needs to be given to the mods. so i wanted to thank them all for their time, thoughtful posts, peace keeping skills and troll hunting abilities.

+1. A tough, thankless job that I would never want to do. Hey, sort of like being an NBA official, only without any ties to organized crime.

Yeah Phil 2.0 was clutch with the warnings and locks, basically Phil was taking any crap he was just laying in the weeds like Clint Eastwood from the Dirty Harry movies saying "Go ahead make my day".
But seriously every mod was clutch, good work fellas.

Ya, they were like Lee and we were like Carter in Rush Hour. They're usually misunderstood, but come with kick ass moves and keep Carter in check.

After several years on these forums and visiting most boards, I can honestly say that we have the best mods on realgm. They're always on top of things and keep this board under control.

You're welcome guys. I couldn't have done it without you guys. I'd like to send a special thanks to my Mom and Dad, without you guys, I wouldn't be here. I'd also like to thank God, my dog Cookie, and my turtle Mr. Turtle. Last but not least, I'd like to thank HowardMass and Winterpeg for not banning me. I haven't played nice at all, so thank you guys for not viewing my posts.

Oh hell yeah man, without a doubt a share of my props go to Phil 2.0. Dude truly was clutch as poster mentioned earlier. The remaining 71% of my props can be evenly spread out among the rest.
Great job guys!

Ya Phil2.0 does take a lot of Sh-t on here and on other boards for us.
At times the trolls think that he is singeling them out cause he is a Laker fan, but I disagree sine he has tear me up at times and Im sure Im not alone on this.
Yet Im glad that P Diddy is our mod on here not matter how crazy we get on here, he's always on top of things.
As far as other Mods, I give mad props to Miles and his support and posts, at times with his posts I feel like Im back in college and everything he posts seems to be what I want to post but in a lot more intelligent and professional manner...........
CC, EE, they are here in a unique way , silent but deadly at times....
TyCobbs.......... Well I consider him a mod that's down and dirty and love to talk Sh-t LIKE ME...Props.
I only look at him as one of us BAD BOYS on here but with a badge......
Kno AKA Trixxx , the Game Thread Guru....... Enough said.
TKB........ I barley hear from him but I hope some of these mods metioned would be a lot more active on here since its always good to have them around.
Anyhow .........Props to all of you guys and lets get 08-09 rocking.

Re: Thanks to the Mods
thanks for the appreciation guys.
Good things about being a mod: the huge pay check, doing 75 in a 30mph zone with reckless abandon, getting to see who was previously named dork mcmonkey before changing their name to Luxmor24...
Bad things: You'll never be able to post the way you do when you're not a mod. Objectivity can be a burden. Having to check in to the board when the news is depressing to make sure everything is running smoothly instead of looking at pichunter. Not being able to ignore you know who.
Seriously guys- the entire board manages itself pretty impressively to me. We have the largest active posters of any board I can think of, percentage wise there's gonna be some trolls, homers, and badmouthers... but I really think we ahead of the percentages and have a ton of quality posters.
It's not always easy as we tend to be a high profile board with a team that constantly makes headlines and inspires more strong emotions that any other board without a question. If people complain that the Staples Center is rocking like it could, it's probably because the hardcore fans are right here posting from all around the world from Norway & Spain to New Jersey & San Diego.
We have a batch of new guys I'm hoping will follow the examples of our best posters and contribute insight, stats, links and spirit to the board.
Our mods are a pleasure to work with and we have followed the Laker team with a squad that has great chemistry and gets things done. Cheers to the whole board!

Re: Thanks to the Mods
I also want to thank the mods for an incredible job keeping things fluid and under control.
They are all incredibly knowledgeable basketball fans.
I appreciate their careful consideration of all the posts and their insight and commentaries.
There are time that I feel I'm reading the Sports page of the LA Times or ESPN when I read poeple like Phil-2.0, EE, CC, Kno, Jfar, Ty and Miles etc....
What a great group of basketball minds.
Cheers to you guys
