I'm not interested in dealing Haslem.

Marion is too expensive for what he brings to the table. As I said before, he can't create his own shot, he can't create shots for others, he doesn't have a post game, and he shoots a low percentage from the outside.

Marion wants star money, but he isn't a star. Miami will never be able to re-sign him to a reasonable enough deal to make keeping him a viable option. The ultimate goal for now is having max cap room in '09 or '10.

To me, it isn't worth giving up that flexibility for a 31-year-old player who isn't a star, and I think Miami is on that same page.

I want the Heat to exercise their pick - and choose whoever is available between Beasley (1st choice) or Rose. I don't want the Heat to trade the pick for any reason, even to acquire a player like Elton Brand. I don't expect the Heat to be a finished product in the coming season. The Heat should see how the rookie fits in, then make other personnel decisions.

Marion is 30 years old and won't be 31 until next may, but anyways....

If Marion takes a paycut we should keep him. The guy is what we wanted Walker to be when we brought him here. He can defend great, rebound extremely well, shoot the three, make ft's, and can be a solid 3rd option for us. If we signed him to a 5 year 50 million deal or so, I think keeping him would be overwhelmingly more than worth it.

To those who underestimate those talents, think about this. Marion will keep teams honest when defending Wade, will take on the role of guarding the top talent instead of Wade having to (both of which will allow Wade to have more energy come crunch time), will prevent teams from having many second chance opportunities in the paint, and oh, the last time before this season where he played less than 79 games was the 99-00 season - HIS ROOKIE YEAR.

So forget about this "ultimate goal" of having cap room in 09 or 10. Pat Riley has engineered some fantastic trades without the need for cap room. Keeping Marion on this team is totally worth it, for the right price.

I can't see how Mayo is going to help the Heat.

Since the Bulls most likely are picking Rose, Beasley is a great fit for them.

Riley is out of his mind if he passes on Beasley or trades down for Mayo.
