IS ROSE UNTOUCHABLE?

Post#1 » by london sonic » Sun Jun 22, 2008 12:55 am

Is there anyway Seattle can trade up for rose ? i doubt we can do it but what do think

chicago covert a defensive big werent they once interested in collison.
we also have numerous draft picks .
chicago has a solid point already.
dont they want to win now can they wait 3 years for rose (ie paul and deron)
beasley doesnt solve there problems either.

how about this trade which works in trade checker.

seattle trades chicago trades

collison-defensive big no1 pick rose
marshall-expiring contract tyrus thomas -young pf
watson-solid backup for larry hughes - large contract
4th pick-bayless,b lopez,love,gordon
24th pick-hibbert,cdr,walker,r lopez
future 2009 spurs pick
future 2010 suns pick

I don't know if Rose is considered untouchable, but I don't think that what is being offered for Rose in this scenario is what Chicago would want in return.

No way does Chicago even think about that deal. That's nowhere near enough.

Also you realize Tyrus Thomas was a top 5 pick a couple years ago, not fodder for throw-in right?

I don't think Rose is untouchable but to trade up to #1 you'd have to give them a near unbelieveable package, and that's definitely not it.

Wow at that trade. That is horrible. Nothing personal but that is bad. Pretty much everyone on the Bulls board would not give up the #1 for Durant straight up. Lead alone #1/Tyrus for the #4/Collison/future firsts from good teams?

Tyrus>>>Collison. Based off potential Tyrus is still so young and Collison is at his peak. Tyrus will most likely end up much better than Collison. And Obviously #1>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> #4 and future firsts from good teams. Horrible trade offer.

I mean do you realize we would be giving up a possible future super star for very little in return? You guys already have your possible future super star in Durant. No way you guys can get a 2nd one without even giving up Durant in return. That or getting lucky in a future lottery.

But ya you guys dont have anything that can get the #1 from us. Like I said Durant would not even do it IMO. Some people would consider it though but really I think even if Durant was offered for the #1 theres a good chance it would get turned down for sure.

Heck Beasley put up better numbers than Durant in less minutes as a freshman. So rite off the bat there is a good chance Beasley will have a better rookie season than Durant had. Plus many people see Rose as being a top 3 pg in the NBA in a few years. A few out there even think he may end up being as good if not better than Chris Paul. You dont give up either Beasley or Rose.

I am glad bulls and sonics fan will agree, because I wouldn't give durant for rose. And bulls fans wouldn't take Durant for Rose.

Ya its not even worth discussion really. I would personally take Rose or Beasley over Durant (it would be tough though since I think all 3 have great potential) I just saw this post and decided to check it out and when I saw that offer I was kind of blown away so I thought I would respond.

But ya if you guys can get lucky in another future lottery than you may end up with another possible future super star but I cant see it happening this draft. Rose wont fall past #2 and Beasley wont fall past #3 and thats assuming Miami were to pick Mayo over Beasley (given the rumors going around who knows) but hey we will see how everything plays out.
