If you are the Bulls, do you keep the #1 pick or trade it?

Post#1 » by JordansBulls » Sun Jun 22, 2008 10:03 pm

There are quite a few rumors regarding the Bulls and what they should do with the #1 pick. With that in mind,

If you are the Bulls, do you keep the #1 pick or do trade for a superstar like Melo, Wade, or Al Jefferson?

What would be the best course of action?

Since when is Jefferson a 'superstar'?

I say they just keep the pick, unless they get a deal they can't refuse.

LOL at Al Jefferson being called a superstar. The Machine would not look kindly on that statement.

I'd trade it for a star + top 10 pick.

They are going to keep it.

The #1 pick doesnt get traded much, the last time it happened was '93 but that was rare occasion obviously. Every year there is talk and rumors about the team with the first pick, that they will trade it for a star player to help them now, but it almost never happens.

So the bulls will do the same.

Jefferson is not a superstar, he is a great player.

With that said, the Bulls will keep the pick.

If I were the Bulls I would entertain as many offers as I can for the 1st pick, and I would pick the best offer and compare it to Rose. I would said can I win know with the trade? Or should I draft the future in Rose. In the end I would just draft Rose to be the face of my franchise.

If there is any truth to that Wade deal, I'd trade it. #1, Hughes, and TT is a damn good deal for Wade. However, for anything less then a star, I wouldn't trade it. I don't think there are too many teams who would be willing to trade an established star for the #1 pick any way.

As I said in my earlier post, that is the only trade I would think about trading for. I would double think it though, beacuse I think the Bulls would decide if they want to let Tyrus go or not. In the end I see the Bulls sticking with the pick and drafting Rose.

why would the timberwolves want to trade al jefferson...................

hes a great post player, something you can't give up and get the #1 pick to take a chance on beasley being good, but al jeff is proven he can operate down low.

no way hes leaving.

No one would trade their superstar player for the 1st, and Chicago won't be able to trade for a superstar this offseason. Best bet is to keep the core young, move on trading away

Hinrich
Sefolasha
Nocioni
Hughes

See what happens to Thomas who if I recall had a good end to his season. Maybe move a deal such as

Hinrich
Gooden
Nocioni
Sefolasha

For

E. Brand
T. Thomas

PG Rose - Duhon
SG Gordon - Hughes
SF Deng - T. Thomas
PF Brand - T. Thomas
C Noah - Gray

Sefolosha is one of those guys that the Bulls management would prefer stay. Of course if a great deal could be had they'd deal him, but they definitely like him and will try to keep him.

If I'm Paxon, I move the #1 pick if and ONLY if it is in the aforementioned Wade deal.

#1, TT and that dead weight formerly known as Larry Hughes for Wade is a great deal.
