realGM fan mock draft: Kings on the clock!

using knowledge of recent reports from the team you follow most closely, please form an educated guess as to whom your team will select and why.

this is not about who you want your team to draft, but who you think they want to draft given the situation below.

after posting this thread in every board leading up to yours, i've got this Draft Board:

1. Chicago - Rose
2. Miami - Beasely
3. Minnesota - Mayo
4. Seattle - Bayless
5. Memphis - Love
6. New York - Westbrook
7. LA Clippers - Gordon
8. Milwaukee - B.Lopez
9. Charlotte - Randolph
10. New Jersey - Gallinari
11. Indiana - Augustin
12. Sacramento - ??

i'm very interested to read your responses! you're on the clock!

Given that situation, I'd say it's likely between Arthur and Alexander. I'd guess Arthur.

what makes you think your gm would lean towards one over the other?

has there been any reports of how workouts have gone? any quote about a certain draft strategy?

There have been implications, given Arthur canceling some workouts, that indicate that we may have given him a promise. It's certainly nothing concrete, but as far as information from our team goes, I think it's the closest thing we have to any kind of certainty. Plus, Alexander may have the higher ceiling, but Arthur fills our needs more, since we're much more so in need of a PF than a SF.

well done. thank you for an excellent contribution.

so far it looks like im putting you down for arthur, but i'd like to hear a few more peoples responses. i can hang out here for about another hour until i have to move on to portland's board if i want to finish the first round in time for the draft.

Arthur is who I expect the Kings to get, for the same reasons that mitchweber stated, even though that is one player I would rather not have. I do think Peach likes Darrel Arthur enough to take him with that 12th pick. So you should put his name down and head north to Portland.

Since it appears that this has been answered, I am going to lock this so as to not distract from other draft threads.

I'm also going to sticky this for the next few days as a reference to others who might have the same question.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

I think it's probably safe to let this fall now.
