A healthy O'Neal woke up the neighborhood...

Post#1 » by dwpacer » Tue Jun 24, 2008 12:15 am

That to me is what happened...

Word about O'Neal being 100% healthy broke before last weekend on Chad Ford's insider page on ESPN when asked by a fan about O'Neal. We saw it here on the Pacers board first.

Now teams are paying what they can now with the knowledge that O'Neal is healthy long before any other team can, esp. the Toronto Raptors.

Teams like the Raptors, Cavs, and Heat all have the most to lose if they don't make the moves to make their team a contender now.

But again, I think O'Neal's health woke up the neighborhood. This might not be the only deal we hear about O'Neal by Thursday.

Jermaine and people close to Jermaine have always bragged how healthy he was during the summers. The first sign of summer in Indiana is reading reports that "JO is healthy and looks better than ever". When you hear news about how good the Pacers will be from JO you know the season is right around the corner.

We'll have to get some more evidence on that, because right now a "healthy JO" sighting is about as reliable as a BigFoot sighting.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

Healthy JO is oxymoronic. I'm not buying until 82 games are up in 2009 (and hopefully a few more than that). If other teams are buying into it, then let them. We'd be able to get good value on our fallen star.
