David Sterns Arrogance

Post#1 » by Old School » Mon Jun 23, 2008 6:13 pm

I don't know if this has been talked about because the new search feature doesn't easily allow one to lookup old topics.

Does anyone else find it unacceptable that Sterns would assign Joey Crawford to any Spurs game let alone an important play-off game? When he suspended Crawford last season, Joey refused to admit he was wrong and stated that he'd do the same thing again under the same circumstances.

This makes me wonder if Donaghy's accusation against the NBA has merit. When realize how Martha Steward went to jail for lying to the Feds about something she didn't do, you have to believe that Donaghy's lawyers wouldn't let him lie to the Feds.

I hope they can't sweep this under the rug like they're trying to. We, the Fans, need a definitive resolution to this issue.

No matter what happens Stern will no longer be looked at kindly by the above average fan. As long as this Donaghy story continues, it will affect the average fan more as well.

Honestly, the owners have to come to the decision to make a change. Hopefully, it wont be Stern's protege Adam Silver. It would be perceived as more of the same...
"I definitely knew he traveled, but I didn't know they were going to call it. That was one of them situations in which a great player made a move...and they called the call. And I was like, 'Oh, man, there is a God.'

I got a chance to talk to Stern and let me tell you, he really defends them. He told me that the nba watchs the games and awards them a score, last year the refs got 92% of the calls right. I think its bull but hey he has the facts not me. The NBA knows it has a problem but hopefully for the sake of the nba, they make a move to correct it before its to late.
