OK, he was born in Taiwan (PRC) but he has lived in Beijing for 6 years I belive, that could make him the Chinese citizenship.

Taiwan is ROC; Republic of China

China is PRC; People's Republic of China.

Joe Alexander can apply for Taiwanese citizenship since he was born in Taiwan. I don't know about China though.

why cant china just apply for one of the american players that play in CBA?
But it would be cool to see this team in the future

Yao / Wang Zhi Zhi/ Songtao
Yi /Wang Zhi Zhi
Alexander / Peng
Yue / Han Shou
Liu Xiayo / Chen

Thats almost 6 nba experienced players, yao, yi, wang, alexander, yue, liu xiayo (maybe)

In America we have a lot of bigger guys though, so if you grow up smaller than everyone else on the playground you gotta learn to have good handles and be crafty. Its the natural progression. Now if that same 6'0" guy picks up the rock on a Chinese playground, he's going to be using his size to his advantage and not developing that essential point guard skillset.

This seems really bigoted but Chinese people really are short.

No offense, but all of those players except Yi, Yao, and Alexander are scrubs. I don't know where you came up with 6 NBA players. If anything, that line-up would consist of 3 NBA players (Yi, Yao, and Alexander). Liu Xiaoyu, Wang, and Sun definitely aren't NBA caliber players.

That's really not true at all. I've been to China and was surprised by how tall the people are there, especially the young guys in places like Beijing or Shanghai. They are skinny though.

If Joe Alexander has an American Passport.. then he is ineligible to play for Taiwan or China.. since those countries do not allow dual citizenship.

I don't think any country allows dual citizenship but most countries don't really give a crap about it unless you're involved in the military or government office. I'm sure Taiwan or China will allow Joe Alexander to play for their national team if Joe wants to. Which country would reject that offer?

Under the Nationality Law of the Republic of China, a U.S. citizen wishing to obtain Taiwanese citizenship must first give up his U.S. citizenship. However, there is no clause stopping a naturalized Taiwanese from adding U.S. or other citizenship thereafter.
