Joey Dorsey is like a young Ben Wallace with even fewer offensive skills. The Spurs need offense. If it ain't available in the draft, bundle the picks and move up a little or get a veteran. That's just about the only way that I can see the Spurs ever benefitting from the draft anyway. They don't regard it as anything more than acquisition of training camp fodder. Trade the picks for SOMETHING.

No way Mahinmi gets averages even close to 9-5. That alone would've been better than just about any center we've had since David Robinson. Mahinmi isn't a strong rebounder. Let's face it, he averaged 8 in D-league playing over 30 minutes. If he gets backup minutes and average more than 3 rebounds, that'll surprise me. And as for his scoring, he may be able to score in D-league and they're giving him scoring touches. That's not gonna happen with the Spurs. I'd say at this point, even Oberto is a better post scorer than Mahinmi with his weird post moves.

Mahinmi right now is still too foul proned, bad rebounder, and not a top notch shotblocker yet. Those are qualities that may improve over time, but I doubt Pop lets Mahinmi plays thru all that this year with our championship window quickly closing.

Would you guys include him in some sort of Artest trade? Like Mahinmi, a S&Ted Finley, and a pick?

Yes, and I'd throw in Vaughn as a sign of good will.

No way. Ian has too much potential to trade away for someone who can possibly destroy the team.
