I agree, and there are a couple decent packages we could offer. One would be Redd/Villanueva/#8 (plus another pick?) for #2/Blount/Banks/Haslem. This deal leaves the Heat with a starting lineup of Wade/Redd/Marion/Villanueva plus whoever the draft - possibly Lopez?

I wouldn't do that from Miami's perspective, but the deal seems comparable to what other teams can offer, unless Memphis is actually dangling Conley +#5.

I do share some of the same concerns NBA people and some here have about Beasley, the lack of defense, passing, and maturity issues. With that said, he does have the chance to be special and i'd role the dice by packaging quite a bit to grab him if it was possible.

Beasley very well could end up only being that Big Dog type of scorer stat stuffer, but non-winner type of pro. He's also a major talent though and somehow getting him would be a ballsy move that i'd support our stuck in the mud franchise taking a chance on.

Yi is a stiff. He just doesnt have the coordination or the desire to be good in the NBA.

I'd love to see the Bucks package their pick to either get Mayo or Beasley.

Plus, a deal to pick up an extra pick in the end of the 1st along with an expiring garbage player for Mo Williams is a must do.

Some team would probably bite for a chance at a Jason Terry type PG.

I can get excited about a lineup that would feature Redd at the SF with Mayo at the SG and Sessions at the point. Bogut at the Center position and a comittee at the PF.
Khris Middleton - Beating up on Trash Can Teams since 1943. Invisible Man status otherwise.

I have just come from YouTube...and from exploring the highlights of several players the Bucks' like I have come to the conclusion we must get Joe Alexander.

This guy reminds me of a white Josh Smith or Amare Stoudemire somewhat. But definitely not like a Tom Chambers as one reporter called him. That is absurd. He has a lot of flavor and flourish to his game and can play abopve the rim and underneath it on both ends.

Joe got annoyed when someone compared him with a white guy himself so I am not being prejudice. I dont have a prejudice bone or nerve in my body and no shame in flat out admitting his has some refined 'street' in his game associated with a crossover of urban game and sound, organized and a structured fundamental game.

Vanilla Sky...is a perfect nickname for him. His dunks, blocks and shots are nasty. Rucker Park type nasty! And 1 type filthy.

Nice handles and he dribbles it low so it can't be taken without fouling him and has a strong grip perhaps he can teach Yi.

The Bucks could have the best pair of non black athletic forwards in the entire NBA and pose horrendous matchup problems and be 'unguardable' with Bogut along that frontline.

And when they get good they will have the swagger and the confidence to back it up and sell tickets here if not carry this team when Redd is tired.

If you can play and win with me, then you are ok I dont care of you are a donkey or purple! Joe echoed the same thing that Bogut said when he was drafted and compared to Luc Longley and other stiff's.

"Why do people always compare me and my game to other white guys?" those are his words, AND NOT MINE! And I watched his YouTube highlights for about 30 minutes over and over and that is
who he reminds me of.

Very explosive and does not get intimidated around the basket! Yi can learn so much from him. He is rugged, strong, skilled, tough, and he relishes contact and finishes strong! Joe can dunk on anyone and has an explosive first step.

He has sweet turnaround jumper and perfect form. He has a mean streak and looks like a guy with a mentality who refuses to lose and back down!

Looks like he has a winning uncomprimising pedigree. I have now altered my descision for the last time....I have come to a descision.

My pick for the Bucks as gone from Beasley, to Gordon, to Mayo, to now...JOE ALEXANDER. I like Randolph too but his body scares me.

He can be another Chris Bosh two years from now and be as good as Rose or Beasley. But in the right situation so can Joe.

Now watch a team trades up and grabs Alexander from us....watch and see. Watch the Knicks take him...

But he should be our guy and then you can launch Villanueva to the Knicks for him if the Knicks grab him.

I do think we need to bookmark the Joe Alexander threads. The irrational exuberance going on there needs to be documented for posterity.
You can bookmark my Joe Alexander exuberance all you want...I am sold on the kid after have watched him.

If he is there at #8 and Randolph is too, I would go with Alexander. Randolph can end up being a Chris Bosh but Joe Alexander can wind up being a Star as well.

I wish I could get a mid first to get DeAndre Jordan of Brandon Rush as well but oh well...It should be good to land one of those two.

Bookmark me all you want. Alexander can play.

I was just listening to Sparky but then had to turn it off. He said he just heard a rumor off air that he was really upset about. Said he would look into it further. He did not say what it was regarding. Could be related to the Brewers, Bucks or anything. Did anyone else hear this?

Probably just found out about the rumor where the Bucks are willing to move Bogut for a chance at Mayo if Miami doesn't pick him.. Just my guess though because things happen so quickly I wouldn't be surprised if something new has come up.

Is Sparky 1250 or 540?

He's off air now but this probably is the same rumor that is going to make everyones draft night a disappointing one.

Also from Katz's rumors today, very minor:

There is interest in Love at No. 8 to Milwaukee, but it's hard to see the Bucks not going with West Virginia's Joe Alexander, who is perhaps the safest pick in the lottery.

Notable only because we had previously heard that Hammond wasn't interested in Love.

The only way everyone's draft night is a disappointment is if they simply decide to move the team to OK City. There are too many camps here for everyone to be pissed off.

Okay.. now you really have me curious. You keep alluding to this and I know you can't give anymore hints but I'm starting to wonder which one of the things floating around have you been told about.

Sounds like a salary dump or something. Like we won't be improving basketball wise but will be cap space wise?

For the record, the scenario that would piss off the most people would be Bogut getting moved.

Every other scenario has quite a few people that would be just fine with it. Moving up for a pick, moving back, dealing out for a vet. None of those would leave 'everyone' disappointed.

I think a Bogut trade is the only thing that would make the majority of the board mad. If Redd, Mo, or Yi is moved, it will only upset a subset here.

Okay.. Gotcha. I wouldn't be upset about getting Kirk, but I am guessing it's what you heard we would have to give up just to get him.

I'm almost tempted to ask you to email me regarding this because I heard some stuff but you sound as if you heard more.

Wow DB and adamcz with nearly identical posts.

Thanks for that info wichmae - I'm a Hinrich fan, I certainly prefer him to Mo.
