Boozer gone next offseason?

Post#1 » by GP » Wed Jun 25, 2008 5:19 am

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2008 ... id=3459696

"In addition to any questions about attitude, a number of high-ranking NBA sources told Katz that one of the main reasons the Heat wouldn't select Beasley is the hope that they will land Utah's Carlos Boozer in a year when he can opt out of his contract. Boozer has a home in Miami."

Not exactly new news, but it seems to be further confirmation that boozer may be gone in a year. What is striking is that they won't draft Beasely, which mean they almost expect to get boozer. If I were Riley, I would still draft Beasley, just in case, you can't get boozer. I'm not one for trading boozer, but if he is going to be gone, we might as well get something for him (IF he is going to leave).

Think about it!! He's as good as gone. He should be. His son had to leave Utah during the playoffs because he couldn't handle the altitude. This is a no brain-er. Miller let Fisher go on a similar situation, and should trade Boozer so the same thing doesn't happen again. Boozer has a true reason and should go. I would understand 100% Fisher on the other hand was misleading at best. Boozer is a different situation and should choose to go. I would and I love the Jazz almost as much as my first born. If Miller is to prideful to see the writing on the wall then we all loose as Jazz fans and the franchise will suffer more because of it. They must get as much value as they can as soon as they can. That's it.

yep, I think there may be something on the works, possibly with Miami. I found it very curious that he no showed the Jazz's Olympic press conference. In fact, on the Jazz's site, they are making a HUGE deal about Deron being on the Oly roster, while Boozer barely gets a mention. I think its pretty clear that the team has given a directive to de-emphasize Boozer as they prepare to move him.

I think Boozer will stay. You don't have a PG like Deron Williams in Miami.

Miami will not trade for Boozer. They're confident in their chances next season, and I know LHM doesn't have the cajones to pull off a Boozer trade... he's banking on the benjamins. If Miami offers him max money next off season, Utah can exceed Miami's offer... making Boozer one of the highest paid players in the league. Sure hope he learns to play defense for that price tag.
Bye Bye Sloan, Good Riddance Deron. Hello new Era in Jazz Basketball.
