Kirk for #8 and filler does nothing for me. Adding Hinrich to the bunch of junk we already have will not make this team a winner now or in the future. Give me turnover.

i'm upset, i like to know things too :x :D

I can email you a rumor if you want. My friend is a Knicks fan, and thinks they might draft Gallinari. Let me know if you want me to edit it out of this post and email it to you.

I think we should have an email chain where we keep forwarding it down the list, and see if the last person gets the same rumor that was initially sent out. I used to be a pro at sabotaging that "telephone" game in elementry school. But seriously, somebody change some of the key details and forward it to me.

Looking at last season, Mo was clearly the superior offensive player. Granted, we all know Hinrich would be a significant upgrade defensively, but that isn't worth #8, which I'm assuming would have to be included.

Mo: 17.2/3.5/6.4/48%/38.5%/85.6%/2.8 TO
Hinrich: 11.5/3.3/6.0/41.4%/35%/83.1%/2.1 TO

I like Hinrich/Sessions as a pairing, but if it destroys our overall depth and makes us lose the draft pick, no thanks.

+1

I've been making a stink face since last checking my e-mail.

I threw up after seeing it. Unreal.

We're getting Zach Randolph?
Or did some smartass e-mail you guys a picture of the Lopez twins making out or something?

The only think that would disappoint me would be if we didn't get any sort of draft pick in the first round at all. I still want a young player to develop from the first round (Rush).

But what if that filler turns out to be Simmons or Gadz?
Then we flip Mo and CV for a guy like Battier.

alot of IFs but I'd be happy with...

Hinrich
Redd
Battier

David Thorpe is chatting right now:

Nick (dayton, oh): How good can Joe Alexander be? I heard execs have been in awe over his workouts.

David Thorpe: At least he'll be a solid energy guy for a few years. Maybe develop some skills and become a nice starter.

Hinrich isn't a big enough upgrade over Mo to pass up on Joe Alexander.

I don't think there is anyone at 8 that is going to bring us immediate returns.

Steve (Chicago): Hey David, I was wondering what Kirk's trade value is? I mean could they get a decent low post player thru a trade for Kirk?

David Thorpe: Maybe, but doubtful.

Alec (Alabama): Why is no one talking about Richard Hendrix? Do you see him as the next Paul Millsap?

David Thorpe: Not the same athlete. But has a chance to make a team.

Mandelbaum (Del Boco Vista): Of the concensus top 15 in the draft, who has the most 'bust' potential?

David Thorpe: Speights and Randolph. But both could be all-stars, too.

Mike H. Bloomington IN: Who do you like better, Hibbert, B. Lopez, Love, or Spencer Hawes?

David Thorpe: Love, Hibbert, Hawes, Lopez.

Alvin: If you were Kirk Hinrich, would you feel disgruntled right about now?

David Thorpe: No-passionate about finding my game again.

Danzel (Greenville,South Carolina): I think Minnesota should take OJ Mayo at three then trade marco jaric and there second round pick to move up and get Roy hibbert. the there starting five would be 1.Randy Foyle,2.OJ Mayo,3.Corey Brewer,4.Al Jefferson,5.Roy Hibbert

David Thorpe: I'm not a Mayo fan. Maybe I will be, in time.

Jon (Indianapolis, IN): What don't you like about Mayo?

David Thorpe: Almost everything. But I'll study more on him once he gets drafted.

John T (Eagan, Minnesota): What's the difference between O.J. Mayo and Rashard McCants?

David Thorpe: I'm not sure who would be more offended by that question?!!

Wow. Great analysis Thorpe. A 3 year old could've answered those questions.

That was just my thought Danno. "What don't you like bout Mayo" 'Eh, I dnno, I'll care later. NEXT'

And he said he doesn't know who'd be more offended, I'm offended by that 'interview' lol

LUKE23 wrote:The only way I'd do #8 for Hinrich would be if they take on Simmons deal. Simmons/8 for Hinrich.

I wouldn't even do that. Make them take Gadzuric. A more useless player and his contract lasts a year longer. If we're only getting Hinrich back that's what it would take for me to not hate the deal and even if that was the deal I still wouldn't be a huge fan of it.
