A look at the most recent 27th pick shows some quality players.

2007 - Arron Afflalo
2006 - Sergio Rodriguez
2005 - Linas Kleiza
2004 - Sasha Vujacic
2003 - Kendrick Perkins
2002 - Chris Jefferies
2001 - Jamaal Tinsley

I hate Sasha! UGH, I remember I looked in one of the other forums and someone started a thread titled "Now That Sasha Is A Star In This League" or something like that, I really wanted to puke.
But I really woudlnt consider any of those "Quality" players except for Tinsley. At most they are good role players. And I wouldnt want any of them on my team.

Yes definitely you wouldn't go with him if he were your only pick but I think like you said it isn't close to being too much on a bought pick. I'm a little higher on Ibaka though. the only questions I have about him are does he have the savvy to get better and can he learn the NBA game. From a stand point of athletic tools he has them in spades and for a big man I'd put him at an above average jumper even all the way out to the three point line. He illustrates nicely why you would buy a pick if it became available regardless of the guaranteed contract.

The nerve of this front office, selling All-Stars like Lior Eliyahu & Reyshawn Terry.
