I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

It'll be interesting to see if BC can still acquire a late first rounder/second rounder and acquire a player like Batum who is expected to drop drastically.

hmmm i hope yahoo is never wrong in such matters, sure sounds like we could get better if that guy stays healthy with his knee.... hopefully, he has character and wants to go out with a bang instead of just 40+ million in his coffer.

Wow.

NEW YORK – After on-and-off again negotiations, the Indiana Pacers are close to an agreement to send six-time All-Star Jermaine O’Neal to the Toronto Raptors for point guard T.J. Ford and the 17th pick in Thursday’s NBA draft, a league executive said Wednesday.

After nearly completing the deal earlier in the week, Pacers and Raptors officials needed to exchange more medical information on O’Neal’s left knee and Ford’s neck before finding a comfort level with the trade. It is believed both sides now are comfortable making the deal, and barring a last-minute change of heart, it’s expected to be completed within hours.

There you have it. No draft picks, just one big solid veteran. I can't wait until draft night.

Personally I never liked O'neal. Something about him rubs me the wrong way.

But this trade makes PERFECT sense for this team. He is exactly what we need defensively (rebounding + blocking) and offensively he can hit the J at respectable rate.

If we can get serviceable player at the swing position we are in position to challenge the Celtics.
