Can this work for you guys?
seeing all the Diaw to toronto rumors i dont like it personally because i dont see him as a changer and would rather have Jo and maybe theres a way we can have both if we do a deal of
Ford
Rasho
Baston
17
For
JO
Can we then do:
Parker
Garbos contract(not sure if thats possible) Or Graham

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Hahaha. Parker? and we have to take on a stupid contract? are you just hoping that we are stupid? our FO doesnt like taking on contracts, even if it means they could win us championships. And this contract (which doesnt even exist anymore because hes been bought out), would mean paying someone without getting ANYTHING in return, why in hell would ANY team do this for giving up ANY servicable player? You've got to be kidding me.

Re: Can this work for you guys?
Parker? how is he bad? he averaged:
12.5 PPG
4.1 RPG
2.2 APG
And could be useful in the playoffs as he is an effective three point shooter and plays good defense. WIth shaq and amare on the low post can kick it out to parker who shoots 44% from three. I thought he could be a good backup to Bell if Barbosa is moved to portland like stated. He can play the 3 spot to backup hill and gives you better depth and a defensive player.
Diaws stats:
8.8 PPG
4.6 RPG
3.9 APG
Diaw has a 9 million dollar contract, parker has a 4.5 expiring same with Garbos 4 million as it comes off the books next year(not sure if its possible to involve in a trade) which is why i included Graham which is a 2.5 expiring contract so its not like your taking on anyhting. Garbo is a expiring if that can be included, parker is a expiring but useful and graham is just an expiring.

So you believe that Diaw is only worth two expirings?
His contract sucks to be sure, but the guy is better than that.

Re: Can this work for you guys?
well i got this from the toronto star, doug smith blog and it says that there is talk of Diaw and the pick is not involved
So i guess you arnt getting a pick but im not sure what the deal involves
Just wandered back to the office from Bryan's media thingy and, quite frankly, there wasn't a whole lot new.
He's got "four or five conversations that we feel are legitimate right now," he said on the T.J. trade front, just like we've been writing for a few days.
Two of them, he said, are final and waiting on decisions, one is still being "negotiated" and two others he categorized as "fluid."
Pretty certain that Indiana (Jermaine O'Neal) and Phoenix (Boris Diaw) are the ones that are final and I'm hearing that Portland may be the one that's being "negotiated."
And there's also no word on what deals will allow the Raptors to keep the No. 17 pick. It's not in the Phoenix deal
So i guess you arnt getting a pick but im not sure what the deal involves

Re: Can this work for you guys?
I dont see how Sarver would agree to have an 8-9mil bucks wrapped up in a backup PG (Ford)
So it might be Rasho (expiring, serviceable backup center) and filler. There MUST be more to that trade, but it seems like a sarver wet dream.
apparently, toronto radio reporting a rip hamilton for TJ ford and Joey Graham "is in the hands of BC"

Re: Can this work for you guys?
Yahoo reporting Rasho/Ford/17 for O'Neal is a go.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=A ... &type=lgns
NEW YORK – After on-and-off again negotiations, the Indiana Pacers have agreed in principle to send six-time All-Star Jermaine O’Neal to the Toronto Raptors for point guard T.J. Ford and the 17th pick in Thursday’s NBA draft, a league executive said Wednesday.
After nearly completing the deal earlier in the week, Pacers and Raptors officials needed to exchange more medical information on O’Neal’s left knee and Ford’s neck before finding a comfort level with the trade. It is believed both sides now are comfortable making the deal, though the trade won’t be complete until both O’Neal and Ford pass their physicals.
Toronto also will send Rasho Nesterovic and another role player to match up with O’Neal’s salary. O’Neal is owed $44 million over the next two seasons. He played just 42 games for Indiana a year ago with a left knee injury. O’Neal has expressed a desire to leave the Pacers for a contender.

Re: Can this work for you guys?
^ yeah i think that deal is done from everything i am hearing, and im extremely surprised that they declined the Hamilton deal. Pistons offered Hamilton for TJ+Joey, and they were offering future cash considerations. BC had to accept or declined and i believe he has gone towards the JO deal. JO = Overrated, old, and just off an injury.. very risky i think. Anyways, i never said parker was bad, i said we dont need him when we have bell who can do everything parker does better at the same price, although i would prefer parker over TJ anyday. + I wouldnt want TJ-Diaw deal because like WTF stated, a 9million/year backup PG isnt worth it when he can retire any given minute of the season. we dont need another pg that cant play defence anyways. I would however like a deal for AP+Rasho+Baston for Diaw + 2nd rounder or something of such sorts if it works financially. That allows us to draft chalmers @ 15 and still have depth at every position.
Nash/Chalmers/strawberry
Bell/barbosa/strawberry
Hill/Parker/Tucker
Stoudemire/Baston
Shaq/Nesterovic

Humphries/Parker for Diaw would be much easier to swallow.
Not sure im sold with Chalmers at the 15 though

Nesterovic is involved in the JO trade, so that won't work. I actually think we should focus on Indy now, especially if we don't have a Barbosa deal or a better Barbosa deal than this:
Barbosa for Tinsley/#11
Barbosa/Diaw for Tinsley/Nesterovic/#11
Barbosa/Diaw for Tinsley/Dunleavy/#17
Bird has openly pined to trade Tinsley, and will be very willing to deal him off now that they have Ford.

He is as injury prone as they come, but with our miracle working training staff I dont see why he cant play 20mpg and stay healthy behind nash. His %s are oogly though

We have Shaq as our leader in the locker room. I do think Tinsley off the court issues are manageable with Suns environment.
Barbosa/Diaw for Tinsley/Murphy/11/17th.
Nash / Tinsley / Straw
Bell / Rush (17th) / Straw /
Hill / Gallinari (11th)
Amare / Murphy
Shaq / Murphy / Jordan (15th)
Barbosa/Diaw for Tinsley/Murphy/11/17th.

That one's not too bad. Indy trades off 2 players they would rather like to get rid of and get 2 players that would help with Indy's rebuild. For Indy getting rid of those 2 contracts, they have to give up their picks. I still feel that Tinsley would be good here. He wouldn't have to play 31+ minutes, so he'd be less likely to get hurt. If or when he does, the Suns have the best training staff in the NBA, pretty close to having the best in professional sports.

Barbosa, Diaw, #15 for Tinsley, Foster, Williams, #11
I think that would help both teams.

Re: Can this work for you guys?
^I'd do that trade depending who's on the board at #11...If Alexander's there, do it. If not, I don't think I want to have a schmuck like Tinsley on the Suns...Foster's a nice defender and rebounder though, and SWilliams has some upside
