LA Clippers covet OJ supposedly..

Elton Brand???

Marion and OJ for Brand and 7?

anyone ever hear of Pro Basketball news? I see Tony Mejia is one of their writers, he used to be the cbssportsline.com basketball guy, so it doesn't seem completely non credible, but it probably is

I had never heard of it until I saw it on the Minnesota board, thats where I found it. I really don't like this at all.

I won't complain if we turn the pick into Elton Brand and #7
what if we somehow keep Marion and get the Clips to take some other chaff... or parlay the #7 and Haslem into another good player? This is the C's model.

lo @ Stephen A Smith and all this "character issues" stuff..We are passing on Beasley for Mayo because of character issues..bhahaha ... so Mayo accepting money under the table is not a character issue, and Beasley cutting off a little girls ponytail is? He said something about being involved with the law? From what i've heard, Beasley has never been arrested..

This is starting to get ridiculous..

Trading Marion and the #2 for Brand and #7 would be horrible.

However, if it were the #2, Blount and something else for Brand and the #7...that I could definitely live with.

If Beasley falls to us and we pass on him, Riley deserves to be fired. Period.

We riot...Randy Pfund better set Riley straight if all this BS is true. We can go after Brand and Boozer next year. Why trade away a once in a lifetime talent to have a small shot at contending next year?

Guys, I am sorry to be the one to share this but it looks like were are trading the second pick after drafting Mayo to another team. THIS SUCKS and I hope everyone starts the riot act immediately!!!

i have a feeling something MAJOR is gonna happen

we will take mayo but immediatly trade him for a vet...for what, i have no idea but if we trade down its for bayless and the vet or we trade out all together...i seriously think that we are not dealing w/ Minn, MEM, or seattle as they didnt give us the value we wanted

IMo we are dealing with LAC and NY looking for massive cap relief, bayless or brand, bayless

If this actually takes place I'm going to be freaking pissed and wonder if Riley is making moves just for the sake of making them all because people have an image of him not taking the safe route. Well I'm in the group that is willing to wait a couple of years for Beasley to emerge as a star and potentially a franchise player. It's also the best way to save money with the Beasley being signed to a rookie contract. Just stay put unless a ridiculously good deal comes along. Seriously...

That would be my view if I were a Heat fan. I want Beasley, and I'm a Bulls fan.

Further, I can't understand why the Clippers would rather have OJ Mayo than Beasley if Miami is going to be picking for them.

This all just has to be BS.

Elton Brand is the type of move that could thrust them back to the top of the East... and consider moving #7 for Mike Miller or someone at that point.. you win with star veterans, not with wishin and hopin for guys to pan out, if that was the case the Hawks and Grizzlies and and Bobcats and teams with perpetual top 10 picks would be on top of the league, but the teams that are at the top now and recently are veteran loaded like the Spurs, Celtics, Phoenix, Lakers, Pistons, Mavericks, and the Heat from a few years ago.

I don't think Riles would pass on Beasley because of HIS specific character issues

I think he would pass on him because hes 6'8''

whats so bad about a Wade/Marion/Beasley trio, to go along with Haslem/Zo/MLE/LLE?

Ever since Marion's opt in, there seems to be this thinking that he cant coexist with Beasley.....like its a bad thing to have 2 great rebounders added to the worst rebounding team, or its a bad thing to have someone that plays off the ball next to 2 ball dominant guys(Wade, Beasley)........Riley is either losing it, or all of this is bullsh...
