Highest Paid

Player Average salary (cap number)
QB Brett Favre $11.5 million ($11.8 million)
WR Donald Driver $6.7 million ($4.25 million)
LB Nick Barnett $5.8 million (unavailable)
CB Charles Woodson $5.57 million ($4.06 million)
LT Chad Clifton $5.39 million ($6.03 million)
CB Al Harris $5.27 million ($5.23 million)
DE Aaron Kampman $5.25 million ($4.1 million)
TE Bubba Franks $4 million ($2.4 million)
DE Cullen Jenkins $3.96 million ($3.76 million)
DT Ryan Pickett $3.5 million ($2.5 million)

Other than Franks (which I was opposed to resigning for more than 3 mil - which would still be a waste) Pack is pretty fortunate. All those guys are pretty much worth it at positions that usually cost. However what is blatantly missing is a top RB! They usually cost plenty.

Good job TT.

Now go get a top back and a deep threat WR. I suppose we'll have to wait til next year for one or both.

Not saying that I don't agree ... but Sheets will (hopefully) play in about 30-35 games this year versus 16 (hopefully) for Favre. Favre's pay per game is still higher.

(I know ... weak argument ...)

Hell Dan Gadzuric makes more than most of those guys. Even Calvin Booth is still getting paid more from us than everyone on that list except Favre. The more players needed for the sport, the lower the average wage, at least with regard to the big 3 sports.

What if the NFL didn't have a salary cap? I wonder where Green Bay would stand...

Can we get a break down per throw

or per out vs completion?

Yes I realize the average per player would be lower if you have more players. I still find it bizzare that Sheets makes as much as Favre, given Sheets has a career 62-70 record.

Return to Green Bay Packers
