1. Wolves get hosed. We have enough future second rounders as it is. They hardly ever pan out.
2. We were rumored to get possibly the 5th and 6th pick for the 3rd? So the 5th and Diaw doesn't do much for me
3. Diaw is overpaid and I personally don't like his game. Not to mention we can re-sign Ryan Gomes to do the same job for less money and less years.
4. This draft is turning into a 4 horse draft, Rose and Beasley in the first tier, then Mayo and Bayless in the second, with the #5 we get to choose between Love or Lopez. They are good players, but aren't going to be future All-Stars like the first four, so giving them up is a big deal. It's not just moving down 2 spots. It's like taking on someone like Gerald Wallace who is very good but not perennial all star material over Paul Pierce... It's obvious to me that it's not JUST moving down 2 spots.

sd1306 wrote:^ Umm it is lack of PT and lack of being the 1st-2nd option. I said that in my post. He was used as the 4th sometimes 5th option in phoenix, while in the playoffs used as second because it was a mismatch on him with finley or barry. And the 15ppg in playoffs is exactly why i think he is worthy to play in your system as the 2nd banana. AJ is clearly your first option, and Diaw could take the 2nd option on offense easily because he would be the facilitator on the low block. He can shoot from there, pass very effieciently (kick out to shooters AKA FOYE), or leave it for AJ to clean up. He would fit into your team very nicely even if you seem to dislike his contract. 17-7-5 would probably end up being his numbers, if not a little more points. He rebounds extremely well for the 3 position, which you guys need help at anyways. I dont see why you dispise the edited version so much.

Did you not see what I posted. 30mpg regular season. 35mpg post season. How is that a lack of PT? There are 48 minutes in every game and he played all but 18/13 respectively. He couldnt handle the pressure of being a 2nd banana so he became the 4th or 5th, where he still struggled considerably to find consistency. Its not even about his contract anymore, its about you trying to force feed us how great he is when everything else points the other way.

As a matter of fact, the only two SF's in the league this year to average at least a 17-7-5 were King James and Caron Butler. Melo/Odom/Marion/GWall/JHoward/Gay/Artest/Mags all were unable to average at least 17 pts, 7 reb, and 5 ast. Those numbers are godly. Diaw is not a top3 SF and he is not better than any of those I just listed so spare me
