The top 5 is not better. I assume you only know those guys from the basic internet sources. nbadraft.net, youtube, etc. It is assumed that this class (meaning the current freshman in the draft. Mayo/Rose/Beasley/Love/etc) was considered one of the best high school classes in the last couple years.

If they make the rumored trade using #2, which I assume is the Clippers, they take a PG at 7 (Bayless, or Westbrook) and have:

Bayless or Westbrook, Wade, D. Wright (who they seem to like) Brand, and Blount/Morning, with Haslem off the bench. Maybe they sign Pietrus as their starting SF. That's a pretty good team.

I agree that this is a plausable scenario... if the Clips move up, it's for Mayo, and Miami certainly wants Brand. Chad Ford also threw out a possible trade on his latest mock draft - Beasley for Mayo + Miami's '09 first (which the Wolves now own) as another way for Beasley to end up a Wolf.

I'm starting to think the possibility of Beasley being in a Wolves uni tomorrow is 50/50. I personally like Mayo better as a player (just his mental makeup... but then again I've been talking myself into him for a month.) If Beasley is there you have to take him, right? And you keep him unless there's some crazy, crazy offer.
