Jefferson to Bucks for Yi

Post#1 » by JTSUCF » Thu Jun 26, 2008 7:37 pm

It looks like Cleveland better start the clock running till Lebron leaves for Jersey as they just got rid of one of their biggest contracts for the summer of 2010.

On a different note, this makes the Bucks a very formidable team next year if everybody stays healthy for them.

Most importantly, if everything goes to plan they enter 2010 with two of the most popular players in both of the NBA's major fanbases (Yi and LeBron), with a new arena and Jay-Z running the show. Marketing dream.

Sound like Toronto was close to doing this deal for Barney. Vince probably next to go my bet.

It should be interesting to see how Lebron and Yi interact on the court during their game in the Olympics this summer.

Having Yi as a teammate in a few years would probably help him with his Global Icon status that he is looking for.

To add to that: there was a good bit of discussion of his wanting to be the first billionaire athlete a little while back (think it was when we played them in China). He said that his being marketable in China would play a large role in that.

It might be too late for you (though the senior tour might work for you ;-)), but it's not too early for you children.
