Re: RJ to Bucks for Yi and Simmons
That is an interesting trade. I am surprised that Milwaukee was shopping Yi but I guess it is hard to pass on RJ if you can get even rid of Simmons whose contract is terrible. This deal might be interesting concerning the draft because New Jersey might be less inclined to draft a big. Yi demanded more minutes. And he is finally in a bigger market.

If it goes through, where does Alexander get over drafted now?

I like it for both teams. Gets the Bucks a SF (which they desperately need), while the Nets get younger and free up cash for LeBron. Makes sense.

Maybe this is for the Milwaukee/Minnesota trade that was rumored?!?

Re: RJ to Bucks for Yi and Simmons
Is Milwaukee rebuilding or reloading? By picking up Jefferson, it tells me they're reloading. They've got a decent team now: Williams/Redd/Jefferson/a PF, maybe Charlie or Joe Alexander/Bogut. Maybe a 5th or 6th seed now.
As for NJ, they are definitely reloading and getting a highly marketable player like Yi makes loads of sense. The combo of Yi and Lebron could look good in a couple of years. Highly marketable internationally too.

Anyone think Yi will even amount to anything besides a role player? I personally think they just got him for ticket sales.

No, I don't. Quite frankly, I think he's soft. I don't see him being much better than Jason Smith when its all said and done.

Simmons contract ends in 2 years, which is the year Lebron James contract runs out. Guess who is close friends with Lebron James. It's Net's part owner JZ. If the Nets move to Brooklyn, NY, they need a big name. I like the deal for the Nets for the future.

I think they got rid of Yi before he was physically assaulted by Scott Skiles punching him repeatedly around his shin and knee cap. Honestly, Skiles and Yi could not be more incompatible. Expect Charlie V to follow Yi out the door. I imagine the Bucks go for Westbrook or Bayless now.

I would think the Nets have the best chance of getting Lebron if they can move enough salary...
Brooklyn (big market) + Not the Knicks + Jay Z + Spend the next few years getting some young pieces that could interest him = Lebron is now in our division.

Not necessarily. Cavs, of course, own his Bird rights and can (and will) offer him the most money. If Lebron turned down the best offer (not likely) to go play in NY it would have to be because he thought he would be personally more marketable. Otherwise it makes no sense. He has a better chance of winning it all in Cleaveland then with the pitiful Knicks or the lukewarm Nets.
