The better question is would shrink pass out if we dealt for Richard Jefferson on draft day?

I'd do it and draft Love #8:

R. Jefferson/Brewer
A. Jefferson/Gomes
Love
Jaric/McCants
Foye/Telfair

...but I think Milwaukee keeps Richard Jefferson. They're trying to change the culture there, and Skiles will appreciate RJ's approach to the game.

If not, acquiring Al Harrington and Othella Harrington would do it....

Richard Jefferson
Al Harrington
Al Jefferson
Othella Harrington

If we could find a PG named Richard Harrington, Jeffrey Richardson or Harry Jefferson he would need treatment for the rest of his life!

Drafting both Lopez's, Trading for Zach Randolph and aquiring a pick for Anthony Randolph, being coached by Mike Dunleavy and trading for Mike Dunleavy (sr and jr). Oh the fun we can have. But the Harringtons and Jeffersons would probably be enough.

If true this takes all the piss out of Riley's talk of trading beasley because seattle clearly can give them the most. This means they will only accept Mayo in a trade down if you read between the lines.

The clippers may want to jump ahead of the knicks for bayless or gordon. This also shows Seattle is sour on bayless and would prefer someone at 7 like augustin, lopez, or less likely westbrook.

Miami giving marion and 2 for brand and 7 (or even 4) would be highway robbery by the clips. I'm 100% certain any trade down for Miami would involve sending out Blount, Banks, or both for expirings.

New Jersey moving richard jefferson means they have a SF they like in this draft. (One helluva deal for the bucks by the way, simmons' contract is horrendous and jefferson is a very good player).
This could mean either galinari will slip to 10 or they have a trade up in place with the grizzlies to take him at 5, which would be bad news for us if mchale tries to trade down for love.

If we trade Mayo to the clips at 4 I will absolutely puke, I don't care what we get back, it will kill us in the long run. You just don't rejuvenate a dying franchise in your own conference that is poised to lose its 2 best players in free agency. Hopefully the clips have someone else in mind at 4 and don't want to trade with us.

I'd do it too, but I wouldn't draft Love as we'd really need a center. I like the trade for the Bucks. R-Jeff is under-rated and they get rid of Simmons who's been a bust since he got paid.

Yi is a 4. He is too slow to defend at the 3 and too skinny to defend the 5.

Everyone is overrating Brand's value a bit, he missed a whole season with a very serious acl injury, for a guy whose game relied on quickness that is not a good thing.

Jefferson would be nice but he is too old and makes too much to work with our young core.
He fits very nicely in Milwaukee with redd and williams, they will score a ton of points there.
I look for them to draft anthony randolph now.

The clips potentially moving up to 4 tells me the #2 pick is going nowhere. Seattle could've offered much more to them for beasley, and if they couldn't get it done and decided to trade down there is no way the clips can offer anything better than wilcox + umpteen draft picks (brand included).

OJ Mayo's Nike deal today also tells me something. He says he signed with them because they didn't care which market he played in, unlike the other companies who wanted to give him big bonuses for playing in NY or LA. If Mayo's agent had any inkling of the possibility of him going to LA or Miami he would've never allowed him to sign the deal.
