Darnell Jackson is a lunch pale guy!!!

Post#1 » by KCBen » Fri Jun 27, 2008 3:44 am

Jackson is a player that is only going to get better. He was a kid that was late to the game of basketball. Very tough, big motor, can step out and hit the mid-range jumper. Good bench guy that will make the Heat proud. Much like Chalmers, he is a winner and it was proved by his Kansas squad winning the National Championship.

No idea what a lunch pale guy is, but I hope it means he's another Udonis Haslem story.

Lets just say he has had multiple family members killed throughout his life and even a few while at Kansas. It will be interesting if he continues to beat his chest when he makes free throws in honor of his fallen family members. This guy won't disappoint you one bit.

Btw, for those who are wondering Jackson did not get traded to Cleveland, that is Sasha Kaun getting traded from Seattle to Cleveland. With that being said, Kaun is going to play in Russia for a few seasons. anyways.

I hope so, but I heard both were traded to Cleveland.

meh, can't cry over it, would be nicer to get a 2nd pick back since we gave 2 up for Mario though..

we have Powell, Lasme, Anthony who will be competing for the spot Darnell would be working for

Jackson has been sent to Cleveland for the lesser of their two second round picks (our and CHI's) in next year's draft, according to the Heat website...

Very nice. So we basically gave up a second round pick and money for Chalmers? Wow, Riley is God.

At 52, Jackson would've been a nice developmental player but with Beasley, Marion and UD all capable to play the PF spot and with Lasme as the hot name to stick around next year also there, I think an additional 2nd round pick to be able to use as a trade asset was a better move.

No, we gave two 2009 picks and cash to Minnesota for Chalmers. This Jackson deal was only with Cleveland for one of their 2009 picks.

Yeah, but Cleveland is probably going to have a much better season that Indiana or Philadelphia would have had. Unless we're getting one of Cleveland's picks that was acquired from another team? I heard something about Chicago i think.

The Heat will receive the lower of the Cavs' 2 2009 2nd round picks (either the Cavs' or the Bulls' 2nd rounder). So it'll be the Cavs' 2nd rounder.
